We  want  to  store,  create  and  expose  data  on  a  large  scaleand  at  different  levels

according  to  predefined  themaDc  fields  and  prioriDes

1.   Documentary   data   and   images   providestarDng   points   for   research,   such   as   cardindexes  built  up  over  the  course  of  severaldecades  and  the  databases  which  followedthem,   or   digiDzed   manuscripts   and   earlyprinted  sources.

2.   ScienDfic   data   created,   produced,and/or  drawn  together  by  Biblissima.

3.  Digital  ediDons  of  ancient  texts,  directlyavailable   from   the   assembled   databasesand  repositories,  united  in  Biblissima  (e.  g.MonWaucon,  Bibliotheca  bibliothecarum).

We  want  to  create  a  systemfor  managing  and  analysing  historical  data:

the  full  range  of  scienDfic  tools  that  researchers  need

1.  Interconnected  digital  imagerepositories.

2.  Coordinated  sets  of  databases.

3.  User-­‐friendly  digital  ediDon  tools  whichmeet  diverse  and  mulDple  needs.

The  main  idea  is  to  connect  toolsin  an  open-­‐access  network.

How  can  we  ensure  the  growth  and  the  long-­‐term  preservaDon  of  the  BiblissimaObservatory?Through  training,  on  all  levels:

1.  scienDfic  disseminaDon  in  a  scholarlyenvironment:  summer  schools  (2013Chartres  -­‐  2014  Troyes)

2.  (online)  training  in  classics  (ancientlanguages,  scholarly  methods,  help  withcataloguing)  and  digital  humaniDes  :  “theBiblissima  toolkit”

3.  diffusion  and  promoDon  for  an  audience  of  allages  and  levels:  calls  for  projects
