    Target audience: All Guelb II managers and supervisors.

    Objectives: Make participants aware of preservation of the

    environment. Inform participants of procedures for

    dealing with spills, handling hazardous materials,

    and refuelling of vehicles.

    Limits: This course is intended for training managers and

    supervisors not to workers.

    Learning method: In-class training with an instructor.

    On-site exercise with instructor.

    Estimated duration: In-class (1hour 30 minutes)Practical exercise (30 minutes)

    The Environment

    Protecting the environment is an important part of the Guelb II

    project. Facilities are in place for:

    Using resources in a sustainable manner;

    Avoiding spills of hazardous materials;

    Preventing soil, water and air pollution;

    Using water in a limited manner;

    Reducing waste;

    Minimizing energy use (hydrocarbons & electricity).

    By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

    Separate and dispose of waste in accordance with procedures, while

    respecting the environment;

    Refuel mobile equipment with no harmful environmental impacts;

    Recognize good practices for using water and preserving air quality
