La spe’cificitd des domaines explores par les ctsondes, pourra s’ajuster a la spe’cificitd de chaque musee. Les relations Audio-visuelles entre les Mu&es et les Centres d Education Permanente ne devront jamais essayer de se substituer a leurs visites effectives. Mais il importera de les utiliser comme des stimuli, des motivations a un contact direct avec les objets et les oeuvres. Conclusion La plus grande erreur serait de ne voir dans les moyens Audio-visu- els qu’un produit de remplacement qui pallie le manque d’hommes et un multiplicateur qui en atteint davantage. Ils offriraient ainsi de soi-disant solutions ((&onomiques# aux nouvelles exigences de I’Education Permanente. En fait, I’Audio-visuel inte’gre’ au vaste en- semble de la technologie de I’kducation permettra les rkformes fondamentales, en particulier des structures de I’Education Per- manentet). Ces structures devront re’pondre i des exigences de mobiliti, d’adaptation immediate et de souplesse d’utilisation qui ne pourraient etre envisage’es sans I’aide de la technologie et de I’Audio-visuel. Trds efficaces quand il s’agit de I’acquisition des connaissances et des modiles de raisonnement ils seront aussi le lien le plus riche entre I’iducation et la vie. Dr. Vladimir PANOS, General Secretary, 6th International COPPSS Of Speleology 1973, Leninova 26, 771 00 Olomouc, CSSR jointly by the Federal Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the Czechoslovak Commission for UNESCO, the national speleological associations as well as scientific, educational, cultural and sports institutions, has given responsibility to an Organizing Committee for the organization of the 6th International Congress of Speleology, 1973 The host of the Congress will be the Palacky University of Olomouc, the second oldest university in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, which has listed the Congress among the activities commemorating the 400th anniversary of its foundation. The Congress as a whole will take place from August 31 to Sep- tember 18, 1973. From August 31 to September 2 three pre-congressional field trips will be made to the most important karst regions and show caves of the Czech Socialist Republic. The Congress itself, as well as the General Assembly, the Section meetings, the sessions of the International Speleological Union and of its commissions will be held in Olomouc from September 3 to September 9, 1973. The karst problems will be discussed in 18 sections (geology of soluble rocks, geology of sedimentary and weathering mantles on the karst surface and of cave fillings, geomorphology of the karst surface, geomorphology of the karst underground, karst hydrology, geographic factors in karst erosion, karst climatology and micro- climatology, karst botany, karst zoology, karst paleontology, Paleolithic man in karst areas, neolitic and historic man in karst areas, protection of karst, speleotherapy and speleomedicine, geo- graphy of karst tourism, speleocartography and documentation, sport speleology, technique, equipment, safety and juridical aspects of karst research and exploration, the technique of equipping caves for public purposes). The program reflects a close collaboration of the International Speleological Union with the International Geographical Union. The IGU Working Group for tourism and recreation is preparing the Symposium on Tourism in Karst Regions. Many cultural events are prepared also in Olomouc, e.g., the ex- hibits “Show Caves of the World”, “World Karst Literature”, “Modern Techniques and Equipment in Karst Exploration”, the Festival of Speleological Films “INTERSPELEOLOGIA 1973”, local field trips, etc. From September 10 to September 18 six field trips will be prepar- ed to the main karst regions and show caves of the Slovak Socialist Republic as well as the Symposium on Karst Typology in Kogice. At the same time the Camp of Caving and Resuce Work in the Slovakian Karst and the Camp of Skin Diving and Rescue work in the Moravian and North Moravian Karst will be included in the post- Congress program.
