A conjugated form of être & participe passé

Tu es allé Vous êtes allés

Il est allé Ils sont allés

Elle est allée Elles sont allées

Passé Composé with être:participe passé agrees with subject

When être is used to form the passé composé, the participe passé becomes like an adjective and has to agree with the subject in gender & number. This doesn’t happen when avoir is used to form the passé composé.

Elle est arrivée. Nous sommes arrivés.
