TheallcompositeASRseriesislightweightandyetdurable.Materials used for production of ASR series is high grade platablethermoplasticandsiliconeelastomer.

BydesigntheASRseriesaresealedconnectors:itisfittedwithinter-facialandgrommetseal,receptaclewithagrommet.

Alsobydesignthelockingmechanismisincluded.Procurementismadeeasier:1singlepartnumberandpriceforbothPlugandlockingorReceptacleandlocking…

Wiringtoolsaremostimportant.Itisimperativethattheyareingoodcondition.AchippedorbadlyadjustedtoolwillaffectthequalityaswellasthecharacteristicsofAmphenolAirLBproducts.Insertionandextractionofcontactsaredonewithplasticormetallictools.

crImpIng❶Thecablesmustbestrippedwithasuitabletooltoavoiddamagingthecoreandtheinsulatingsheath.Stripthecableoveralengthcorrespondingtothedrillingdimensionofthecup.

❷Thecrimpingofcontactsonthecableisdonewithacrimpingtoolcompletewithalocatoradjustedtothecontactsize.ThetoolmustcomplywithMILC22520standard.

❸Accordingtothespacebetweenthecablediameterandthecupdiameter,oneoftwowaysofcrimpingmustbechoosen: 1-importantspace:placethecontactinthejawsofthetoolwiththecuptowardtheoperator.Insertthestrippedcableinthecontactcup. 2-lowspace:placethecable inthecontactcupand insertthegroupinthejawsofthetool.

❹The toolwillnot release thecontactuntil thecrimping is fullycompleted. a -Thecablemustbevisiblethroughthepeepholethusensuringthatitiscorrectlycrimped.

❺Releasethecableandpulloutthetool.Exertagentlepullonthecabletomakesurethatthecontactisproperlylockedin.
