Functionality ’KPIs NE Aggregation’

• User can choose to aggregate the data from lower network element levels to higher levels in DWH

• The aggregation rules are predefined and cannot be changed

• Currently all counters are aggregated to higher network element levels

• By default aggregation is switched off, due to performance reasons

• Aggregation to higher network element levels makes it possible to see

the measurements from lower level (e.g. TRX) already aggregated to

higher level (e.g. BSC).

• The aggregation is made for all consecutive levels i.e. from TRX, to

BTS, to BTSM, to BSC. The user can see the TRX measurements on

any selected level (higher than the original).

• The counters displayed in the grid will have the prefix of the object level

the data was aggregated to.

• In the attributes browser all pre-aggregated measurements are

available under original category of original counter object.

• Example: measurements aggregated to BTSM level will have prefix:

BTSM_INTRA_HOATT

(original counter on BTS level: INTRA_HOATT)

 AnatomN training–General introduction

Functionality ’KPIs NE Aggregation’

• Conversion of the KPIs can be performed by the following steps:

1. Selecting the source KPI file by clicking the Browse button and loading the KPI from the File

with Load button

2.  After loading user has to select the MOC, to which the wants to aggregate the KPIs (e.g.

BTS, BSC…) Select button has to be clicked to proceed to the next step.

3. User should select the KPIs which he wants to convert to the selected MOC level. In the

Attribute browser can be selected and converted by clicking the button.

4. Then user should use Export button to export the new generated KPIs to an output file. This

file can be used to import the converted KPIs. Afterwards KPI Aggregation Converter reportcan be closed.

5. To use the new aggregated KPIs, user should import them. After the import process is done,

the new KPIs are ready for usage.

 AnatomN training–General introduction

Functionality ’KPIs NE Aggregation’

• The converted KPIs are always stored under the MOC to which they were aggregated. Appropriate

subdirectories are created, which contain the KPIs converted from lower network element levels.

For example conversion of TRX level KPIs to BSC level will result in creation of TRX_Aggregated

subdirectory under the BSCx KPI directory.

• The converted KPIs name will have the target MOC prefix and the source KPI name e.g.

TRX_AVAIL converted to BSC level will have the following name:

‘TargetMOCprefix_’ + ‘original name’ = BSC_TRX_AVAIL

• When the user decides to convert multiple KPIs, from different network element levels to the higher

one, the appropriate subdirectories will be created under KPI directory of the target MOC. KPIs

from BTS level will be held under the BTS_Aggregated subdirectory and so on.

Report ‘Multilevel Analysis for Multislot feature’

• Since AnatomN 3.2 all CM parameters (numeric and string parameters) are moved from facts area to

diemension.

• If the user tries to display the CM parameter for any of the objects (e.g. BCCHFREQ for BTS) for thenormal DWH slot the results will be displayed only in one line (row) –for the selected timestamp of the CM

configuration.

• For Multislot result will be displayed in as many

lines (rows) as many configurations are available

in the database (the dates of CM data). This isbecause of multiple configurations possible for the

multislot. In the Dialog box the user can choose

the set of DWH slots which will create a new

Multislot.

• In the example on the right side we have 2settings of CM parameter. PM data for both of

these configurations are displayed in appropriate

Report ’Relations/navigations’

• In the hierarchy tree there are two types of relations implemented´:

Structural relations – objects which correspond to the higher levels objects by

means of FDN

Logical navigation – objects which logically correspond to other objects

• Structural relations result from the FDN hierarchy structure. It means that the child object, which

corresponds to particular parent object is aggregated to this parent and all higher parent objects.

• Navigation mechanism allows

displaying measurements or

attributes for both BTS objects of

one neighbor relation by selectingonly source cell.
