Significance to technology: Avec parois métalliques réfléchissantes.L’introduction de l’ampoule incandescente au filament de tungstène en 1914 permit un usage plus grand des projecteurs pour illuminer des édifices ou des zones le soir car ces ampoules exigeaient moins d’entretien. Il s’ensuivit une plus grande popularité de ce genre d’éclairage à compter des années 1920. L’illumination des édifices publics ou sculptures extérieures est devenue une forme d’art.

CONSTANT ATTENTION,USE OF THIS KIND OF FLOODLIGHTING WAS VERY LIMITED/ INTRO OF THE COILED FILAMENT INCANDESCENT LAMP IN 1914 PROVIDED A SOURCE OF LIGHT BETTER SUITED TO PERMAMENT INSTALLATIONS OF FLOODLIGHTING & LED TO A GREAT INCREASE IN ITS POPULARITY EXAMPLE OF A FLOODLIGHT MADE & USED IN CANADA/ BY THE END OF THE 1920'S IT WAS BECOMING QUITE POPULAR IN CANADA TO FLOODLIGHT PUBLIC & COMMERCIAL CITY BUILDINGS
