Why should we care about our carbon footprint ?

How to measure our carbon footprint ?

- 1 l tap water.- 1 chicken leg.

- 200 g fresh green beans.

- ¼ ship imported pineapple.

- 1l mineral water- 150 g beef.

- 200g frozen green beans.

- ¼ pineapple imported by plane.

The 1st Menu emits as many greenhouse

gas emissions as 20cl of petrol. The 2nd Menu emits as many greenhouse

gas emissions as 2l of petrol.

– Partnership with the Energy Information Centre– Poster campaign « Display » (100 public buildings) – Control Plan of flows (-3.7 % heating in 2008)– Allowance for solar-thermal (1000 installations)– 5 urban renewal operations (40 000 inhabitants) – Desjardins neighbourhood (social mix and energy

saving) and eco-neighbourhoods “Mayenne et Capucins”
