TAKES WICKET OF KALLIS ABID KHAN Srinagar, May 9: Talented all-rounder Parvez Rasool on Thursday became first crick- eter from Jammu and Kashmir to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after making debut in the match against Kolkatta Knight Riders (KKR) at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune for his side Pune Warriors. KKR skipper Gambhir won the toss and elected to bat first against the home side. KRR while making two changes including Ryan ten Doeschate and Manoj Tiwary in the playing eleven. The big news came from the Pune side as that of much awaited debut of Kashmiri star all-rounder Parvez Rasool. He came into side in place of spin- ner Rahul Sharma. As the news about Parvez’s debut got viral, the leading crick- et website Cricinfo was flooded with comments praising Parvez. For Bijbehara lad, it is a dream come true to play in IPL which could be his first step towards inching into the Team India squad. In his dream match today, Parvez took wicket of world’s best all-rounder J H Kallis. In his four over quota, he gave away only 23 runs and took one wicket. Agarwal inaugurates BPEd course at Ganderbal Srinagar, May 9: Direc- tor General, Department of Youth Services and Sports department, Navin Agarwal, IPS on Thursday inaugu- rated BPEd course at Gov- ernment College of Physical Education, Ganderbal. The BPEd training course is being offered by the Government College of Physical Education for the candidates having passed minimum Graduation with sports background. The College has intake capacity of 110 seats and this year 93 candidates have been selected under direct quota and 17 in-service Physical Education Teachers have been deputed for the said training. That the qualification certificate has been issued by the University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India/State Government/UGC/AICTE/Council for Distance Education and not by any un-recognized Institution/ University/Deemed University or by any recognized off campus Centre of any University and further the courses of study are also recognized.II. That the certificate is authentic and not fake/forged/ tempered.In case I am permitted to join subject to above verification:1. I shall join the department on my own risk and responsibility.2. Subsequently, if my qualification is not proved to subscribe to above mentioned standards or is proved fake/forged/tempered or issued by un-recognized Institution /University or the course itself is proved as un-recognized, I shall have no claim for the post of Teacher and the appointment order issued in my favour may be treated as cancelled abinitio.
