The Dualization of the Bidbid Sur Section I part 1 starts at Bidbid with upgrading of the road to a three lane dual carriage way including Interchanges, Wadi Bridges, Arch-Type interchange bridges, 2-Cell Underpasses (Vehicular), 1-Cell pedestrian Underpasses, floodways on local roads & Storm water drainage including new culverts and dykes on the main roads, ramps, cross roads etc. Responsibilities:

• Monitoring/Tracking the progress of Earth works, Road works, Structure works & Utility works.

The project includes approximately 48km of road network and a total of five interchanges. The Orbital Highway consists of 10-lane section (5 in each direction) with additional Collectors/Distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps. In addition to this, four separated truck lanes (2 in each direction) are provided starting from the tie-point with the existing interchange at Mesaieed to the project limit near to the intersection between Orbital Highway and Salwa Road. The total built-up area is 375,000 square meters, with a podium comprising two levels of car park, a three-level mall and six, five-level office buildings.
