Hire a luxury car and head to Chamonix just an hour's drive from Geneva. Take the Aiguille du Midi cable car up to 3,777 metres and admire the majestic mountain's snow-capped peak.

Did you know that the Reformation Wall and the Christ the Redeemer statue were created by the same sculptor, Paul Landowski? Head to the heart of the Bastions Park to see the huge stone statues of the four figureheads of the Reformation – Jean Calvin, Guillaume Farel, Théodore de Bèze and John Knox. The city's motto, "Post Tenebras Lux", meaning "Light After Darkness" is engraved on the monument. Just opposite the park you'll find the Place de Neuve, home to the Geneva Conservatory of Music, the Opera House and the Musée Rath . If you're interested in religious history, the Old Town should be your next stop . The Old Town's streets have witnessed some of the biggest events in the history of Protestantism. Round off your tour with a trip to the International Museum of the Reformation which is packed-full of records and accounts from the time.

Geneva is a luxury shopping heaven. From the moment you step outside your hotel, you'll find yourself surrounded by the most prestigious watch, fashion and jewellery boutiques in the world. Take a walk down the famous Rue du Rhône (C) and admire the window displays of the world's most well-known brands. With so many shops so close together, even if you don't have much time to shop, you certainly won't feel hard done by. Shopping can be easily done on foot and if you want to cross La Rade harbour, just hop on a "Mouette" (D) taxi-boat. Tip: ask at your hotel for the Geneva Transport Card.
