Dictionnaire Classique de la Langue Chinoise. By F. S. COUVREUR, S. J. Pp. xii + 1080. Taipei, Taiwan: BOOK WORLD COMPANY, 1963. $13.00. Couvreur's dictionary of Classical Chinese appeared first in 1890, with the title Dictionnaire chinois-franqais, and the words arranged according to pronunciation. He published a revised edition in 1904, with the words arranged according to radical. This was re- viewed by E. Chavannes in T'oung Pao, 6 (1905), 242-249. A reprint was made in 1930. This is another reprint. (E. H. S.)
