Net Display Systems is a global manufacturer of flexible digital signage solutions. Because this software is not tied to any specific media player, it can be properly paired with “just-right” hardware to meet the demands of a wide variety of applications, from PowerPoint® presentations to full 1080p video with text crawls. BTX offers a variety of media player solutions that we’ve custom configured to specifically run different levels of content intensity in an environment with Net Display Systems PADS software.

The Net Display Systems solutions are incredibly easy to integrate with back-end databases, work great with Flash® content and can operate in a stand-alone environment or be managed with unlimited scalability. There are three main solutions outlined in this brochure and they include PADS Professional, Standalone and Express.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL System consists of five (5) fully

integrated software applications that together provide the most

flexible and technically advanced system for digital signage

currently available. The five applications include a Designer,

Manager, Server, Viewer and Agent. A typical configuration

consists of a central PC on which the Designer, Manager, Server

and Agent software are installed. In addition, every display has

a PC behind it on which the viewer software is installed.

This product is also ideal for ENTERPRISE COMMUNICATIONS. An

inexpensive optional Desktop Viewer application allows signage

content to appear on every desktop throughout a company. This is

ideal for emergencies and other urgent notifications, management

messages and general corporate communications.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL Designer software is a powerful and flexible design tool that allows you to design visually attractive digital signage content in a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) environment. It allows the use of content ranging from text only to content with fully integrated video, TV, Internet, RSS feeds and data from any database.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL Manager is the software application for scheduling content for display. It can schedule any kind of information to any display location at any time. Content can be scheduled for individual displays or for groups of viewer displays.

Features: � Comprehensive recurrence features to schedule on a minute, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.

� Unlimited creation of groups of displays. � Definition of priority levels for content.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL Server software handles the process of collecting and distributing scheduled content and files as well as the delivery of real-time data to the displays.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL Viewer is the software application responsible for displaying scheduled content on a display device. This software communicates with the PADS Professional Server software for the retrieval of content, related files and real-time data. A separate Desktop Viewer cable installed on each computer on a network allowing the same content to be inexpensively displayed throughout an organization.

The PADS PROFESSIONAL Agent is an optional software application which allows easy monitoring and analysis of a PADS Professional system installation and perform remote management.

The STANDALONE System is ideal for an application requiring

a single digital sign. It could be located by the front door of a retail

shop announcing the specials or sales of the day. This system requires

just one PC, which contains the PADS 3.1 Standalone Designer

software and the Viewer software.

The Standalone Designer software is a powerful and flexible design tool that allows you to design visually attractive digital signage content ranging from text only to content with fully integrated video, TV, Internet, RSS feeds and data from any database. It allows you to take information from an unlimited number of sources and combine it into a visually appealing and dynamic presentation.

This software system has all the components of the PADS PROFESSIONAL system including the Desktop Viewer for company-

wide communication, but with a subset of features. Please review the feature comparison chart on the following pages for

a full understanding of the differences.

A signage application involving a PowerPoint presentation requires a far different piece of hardware compared to a true multi-media filled content presentation. The NDS software can be paired up with any Windows based media player. BTX, working with some of the most sophisticated hardware engineers in the USA, has designed specific media players for simple content and media-intensive content. Choose one of these for your application, or contact our engineers to help design the “just-right” player for you. Our players come complete with a Windows operating system and your specific NDS software installed. Please note that when considering which media player to choose, customer requirements may change over time and the more powerful media player is always a “safer” choice.
