Profile of Past Jobs

The job in the State owned Medical College services come under the Directorate of Medical Education of Ministry

of Health and Family Welfare Department of Government of Kerala. Kerala is a provice in the Union of India. All the postings in

the well equipped Urology Department where the staff pattern is as per the regulation of Medical Council of India. A statutory

body created by the Government of India. Faculty Members train two post graduates in one academic year. We have four

operation theatres per week including 2 endoscopy theatres. We routinely perform all open surgeries ( approximately 8

major cases and 24 minor cases per week).This include Renal transplantation, Radical cystectomy, Radical Nephrectomy,

Augmentation cystoplasty, Correction of inter sex, Penile prosthesis etc..).I perform 10 major endoscopic surgeries per

week including URS,TURP,TURBT,PNL.Weekly turnover of our minor endoscopic procedures are 75 cases. I have a

series of patients with Snodgrass repair (25cases) and penile prosthesis(10). My total experience in renal transplantation

is participation in 500cases. I have performed 20 cases of renal transplantation as the chief surgeon. My experience in

laparoscopic surgery is limited to 10 cases. My routine OP consultation include consultation of 150cases from the

hospital(2 OP days) and 150 cases from my residence per week. My routine teaching activities include guiding 9 post

graduates in urology in the form of clinical discussions , Journal clubs, symposiums, uro radiology and uro pathology

conferences. Presently we have 20 hrs of teaching schedule. I am organizing a club for 20 Urologists in our city. Our

regular monthly meeting include a guest talk, Journal discussion, 3cases and uro quiz.
