It enables students to express themselves in everyday contexts with an A1.1 level of language competency. [ OBJECTIFS ] To develop the student’s ability to understand and use simple everyday expressions for purposes of practical communication within a French- speaking setting To enhance the listening, reading, speaking and writing skills of students through introduction of French basic grammatical structures and vocabulary To offer insights into what is “French” and encourage reflection on what is “Filipino” [ DIRECTIVE DE COURS ] Attendance will be checked 5 minutes after official class time. All who miss the attendance will be marked as late. Arrival 30 minutes after official class time will be marked as an absence. 3 late marks is equivalent to 1 absence. Exceeding 3 absences will incur a forced dropping of the subject. There are no make-up quizzes. Make-up examinations will be given only to students with valid grounds for absence. Active class participation is mandatory. Students must come to class with their learning materials. All homework must be submitted on time. Late submissions will not be accepted. Using computer-generated translations (e.g. Google Translate) will incur a failing mark on the given activity. F R A N Ç A I S 1 0 [ DESCRIPTION ] French 10, as an introductory French language course, delves on the essentials of the language through an integration of communicative teaching approaches and interactive classroom exercises. It enables students to express themselves in everyday contexts with an A1.1 level of language competency.

[ OBJECTIFS ]
