Optimizing Turf NutritionGenNext products take a different approach to fertility.

• Our technology introduces exoenzymes instead of live microbes.• Exoenzymes are what microbes secrete to begin the digestive process.• Exoenzymes become extracellular enzyme complexes when they naturally attach to a mineral in the soil solution.• Our technology extracts exoenzymes from live microbes attaching them to minerals. (Copper, Iron, Manganese, & Zinc) • This creates a very stable complex that will catalyze existing microbial populations with minerals that promote growth.• Our formulas bypass microbial processes to stimulate existing microbes and start the nitrogen cycle & decomposition.• Our formulas promote the colonization of beneficial fungi (mycorrhizae & trichoderma) to aid in uptake and immunity. • Continuous use of GenNext formulas will promote a synergy with plant growth and soil respiration

Page 3: GenNext PPP

Why are exoenzymes important?• They are endgame to the microbial process – waiting period is over • It is how microbes promote their roles in the carbon and nutrient cycles – decomposition and growth

– Soil Respiration & Plant Growth Synergy• Exoenzymes recycle and decompose organic matter in the soil and stimulate the production of plant biomass• Exoenzymes of certain microbes induce and are the main elicitors of the plant defense response

– They catalyze the hypersensitive response in a plant’s reaction to stress as plant activators• Exoenzymes act as independent entities from their microbial parent• Exoenzymes form stable complexes that resist drought, pH changes, even attack and degradation from other enzymes• Exoenzyme complexes are a catalyst to stimulate existing soil bacteria and beneficial fungi• They persist in the soil long after their microbial parent dies and do not succumb to soil antagonism

Page 4: GenNext PPP

GenNext TechnologyOur technology Is a simple concept of identifying proteins that serve as exoenzymes outside of the microbial parent and blending them with humic acid to provide them with an efficient source of carbon.

• A proprietary creation of extracellular enzyme complexes– Derived from compost of corn and prairie grass– Proteins selected for specific vital reactions that influence soil and plant health– Combined with minerals (copper, iron, manganese, & zinc) to form a stable complex– Serves as the engine to the microbial catalyst

• Blended with our proprietary humic acid– Soluble humic and fulvic acids are the ultimate carbon source– Serves as the fuel to the exoenzyme engine

• 40 years of research to distinguish select exoenzymes lead to understanding:– A Key Complex derived of four microbes that can prevent abiotic and biotic stress– A discovery that humic acid has catalytic role with exoenzymes as its fuel source

Page 5: GenNext PPP

What is it?

GenNext formulas are extracellular enzyme (exoenzyme) complexes, stabilized with soil minerals (Copper, Iron, Manganese, & Zinc) and combined with plant hormones. The formulations use humic and fulvic acids to provide the complexes with a soluble carbon / energy source. The enzyme complex is derived from composted corn and prairie grasses from America’s Heartland. Product is 100% Made in U.S.A.

Page 6: GenNext PPP

What does it do?

Continual use of GenNext formulas improve both soil and plant health by triggering the vital reactions necessary to sustain them in terms of root development, soil respiration, and plant immunity. The best evidence to show its performance is laboratory testing for increased rootzone arbuscular mycorrhizal colonization. Graph: • Trial conducted by golf maintenance staff

at Maroon Creek Golf Club, Aspen, Colorado

• GenNext practice green had over 80% arbuscular mycorrhizal colonization

• Sand Capped Fairway was a check plot & Greens 1-18 treated with Floratine mix had 30% arbuscular mycorrhizal colonization

Why is Arbuscular Mycorrhizae Important?

Its Main Benefit to Turfgrass: Increased uptake of nutrients & waterHelps with diffusion and uptake of Phosphorus

Without help from AM, turfgrass roots can only uptake phosphorus adjacent to young root tissue

Lowers pH in rootzone with uptake of ammonia and release of hydrogen

A decrease of soil pH increases phosphorus solubilityAmmonia uptake also increases Nitrogen flow to turf

Hence the vibrant density and growth using GenNext as nitrogen and phosphorus are utilized more efficiently

Page 8: GenNext PPP

How does it work?Applications of GenNext formulas bypass microbial diffusion of exoenzymes in the soil, and provide an instant enzymatic catalyst to promote existing beneficial soil bacteria and fungi as well as trigger plant defense mechanisms in the form of plant activators. There are no living processes to inoculate the enzyme complex…they activate immediately upon application.

What are Plant Activators?

Plants have a natural, built-in defense system for combating environmental stresses brought on by disease, insects, or weather extremes. • Plant activators are compounds that trigger

plant defense mechanisms• Not a fungicidal reaction but physiological

sensitivity to stress

Important feature a plant has to inherently combat stress and promote recovery (e.g. dehydration from afternoon wilt) Our Key Complex helps facilitate these characteristics.

.

Page 9: GenNext PPP

Key Complex

After 40 years of product development, we discovered a unique set of microbes that is present in natural prairie grasses that is not present and cannot be naturally formed in turfgrass. This key group of microbes produces our Key Complex, an enzyme complex that allows the plant to develop and sustain itself during times of abiotic and biotic stress. When added to turfgrass, the Key Complex provides the same plant defense characteristics as its cousin benefits from, on the open range.

Page 10: GenNext PPP

Importance of Carbon (Humic Acid) in the GenNext Formulas

The Most Soluble Forms of Carbon

Our pressure treatment breakdown of humic acids provides the most soluble forms of carbon in the industry. This solubility provides instant fuel to our enzyme complexes giving them immediate energy to power microbial activity in the soil. This defined role for humic acid as a fuel to our enzyme complex engine distinguishes GenNext formulas apart from its competitors. While there are benefits to adding humic acids to any fertilizer program, our formulas utilize the power of the carbon source to provide a true catalyst for growth and vitality.

Spring Wake Up/Revival: Before & After

GenNext gained popularity in the Midwest and Northeast with its ability to revive greens from winter kill. Right: In six short weeks this green in Michigan recovered without having to resod.

Procedure:• ¼” Solid Tine Aeration• 2 lb. /1000 Bentgrass Overseed with Sand Topdress• 4 lb. / 1000 Monoammonium Phosphate• 3 biweekly applications GenNext A & B @ 10 oz rate

Page 22: GenNext PPP

Maintenance Spray ProgramWhether it is cool or warm season turf, GenNext formulas play a critical role in turfgrass quality. Provided the soil is in relative balance, programs are very simple as they only need to involve:• GenNext (& Fertilizer if using C & D)• Plant Growth Regulator of Choice• Wetting Agent of ChoiceWater-in based on PGR and Wetting Agent instructions or with evening irrigation. Program rates can range from 3 ounces / 1000 weekly or 5 to 6 ounces / 1000 biweekly. It is important to note that C & D formulas must be tank mixed with a nitrogen source as it needs nitrogen to process or it will mine what is in the soil profile. On that premise, C & D is also a wonderful tool to remediate soils irrigated with high nitrates and nitrogen use can either be omitted or lowered based on individual programs. The basic rate calculation for formulas A – D is derived by a multiplier of .02. (e.g. 5 oz/1000 x .02 = .10 lbs. / 1000 nitrogen in A & B or nitrogen level needed to mix with C & D.

Page 23: GenNext PPP

Aeration RecoveryGenNext A & B provides incredible recovery results in as little as five days! Photos right: green recovering in 5 short days.

Program:• Spray 10 oz of A & B 7 days before aeration• Apply corrective treatments into aeration

holes• Follow up with 10 oz of A & B after

aeration

Accelerate AM for fairways:• ½ gallon per acre with liquid nitrogen

source after aeration and corrective treatments applied

Sod Establishment

GenNext products will aid in sod establishment as it stimulates roots to anchor themselves to the soil and encourages lateral movement to fill in seams. Right: Oakland A’s head groundskeeper, Clay Wood, began GenNext A & B protocol just after sodding and field was able to handle initial opening day traffic without the need to overseed.

Page 25: GenNext PPP

Bentgrass Conversion:Plant Growth Regulator

Determines Speed of Conversion

GenNext formulas combined with plant growth regulators are a vital tool against poa annua infestation in bentgrass. The choice of PGR will always determine the speed of conversion. Attached is research from Chicago Golf District and the 3 year study coordinated by Ed Nangle, Ph.D. of Ohio State. He determined that SePRO’s Musketeer was the most consistent and effective product for poa annua control.

Desert Overseeding

Vegas, Baby, Vegas!!!

Improve initial stand of cool season turf overseeded on Ultradwarf for winter play. Bali Hai in Las Vegas used GenNext A & B throughout the Spring and Summer to promote a solid TifEagle base for overseeding. During overseeding 5 oz rates of A & B were sprayed after first mow, with two more weekly rates, then biweekly afterwards.

Page 28: GenNext PPP

Hydroseeding

Accelerate AM is the perfect complement to a hydroseeding tank mix. Rate of application is one quart per 10,000 square feet of treated area. With new cotyledon growth at a critical stage during germination, Accelerate AM exoenzyme complexes will improve nutrient uptake and provide new seedlings a carbon bath to facilitate rooting and development.

Page 29: GenNext PPP

Injection

Save a ton on labor injecting Accelerate AM at one pint per acre per week. Accelerate AM can also be mixed with bulk fertilizers at 0.5% to 1% rates.

In 2015, Boiling Springs Golf Club in Oklahoma used Accelerate AM to resurrect its course conditions by integrating live mycorrhizae with Accelerate through their injection systems.

Page 30: GenNext PPP
