I am recommending Wendy be considered for the Healthpointe
scholarship.
Wendy is 58 year old mother of 3, a neighbour of mine who works
as a Real
Estateagent in the Kapiti area. She has seen the programme
before but discounted itbecause of the expense.
Her health story: Wendy was a 54 kg size 8 or size 10 up to her
mid 40’s(exceptwhen pregnant when she gained hugely then returned
to trim size betweenbabies).She is only 5 foot tall and since
menopause has gained 30 kg and now weighs84 kg.
Whilst always appearing cheerful, during our discussion re this
scholarshipopportunity she was very transparent and discussed
hating clothes shopping,how she would love to feel good in clothes
again, and how she has lost of lot ofher confidence and energy, and
consequently the motivation to take action.
Her reasons for wanting to do the programme
1. She would love to restore her energy levels and agility (e.g.
bending downwhen working in the garden or painting toe nails is
very uncomfortable andgetting increasingly difficult)
2. Would love to enjoy clothes shopping and feeling good about
her appearance
3. Her confidence has suffered with weight gain and increased
energy levels andgeneral confidence would really help with her
career.
Wendy has had breast cancer and recovered with surgery and
radiation. She isnot aware of any health issues as she hasn’t been
to a Dr for some time.She has a sugar addiction.
She is quite prepared to get blood tests done, be photographed,
and to work witha mentor on the programme. Also to share her story
and would be a greatadvocate for the programme. She is well known
and liked in the community
