Cocktail — Barbecue du 8 septembre 2017

Le vendredi 8 septembre 2017, les équipes de recherche du projet ATRAPP de l’Université de Montréal, PolytechniqueMontréal, ainsi que de l’Université du Québec en Outaouais, se sont réunies autour d’un barbecue pour souligner lescampagnes d’échantillonnage de l’été 2017. Cet événement a été organisé par l’équipe de gestion d’ATRAPP pourpermettre aux chercheurs de mieux se connaître dans un contexte relax et informel.

The ATRAPP project research teams of the Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and Université du Quebecen Outaouais gathered together last September 8th, to highlight the summer sampling campaign and to foster a relaxatmosphere for collaboration and teamwork.

L’équipe ATRAPP est fière de présenter son tout nouveau site web !

 

www.atrapp.ca est l’adresse du tout nouveau site web du projet ATRAPP. Entièrement bilingue, ce site présente des

informations sur l’équipe, les collaborateurs et partenaires du projet ATRAPP. Ayant pour objectif de présenter l’état

d’avancement du projet, on y trouve également les publications des chercheurs liés au projet, dont l’importance prend

de plus en plus d’ampleur au fur et à mesure que l’on découvre les ravages environnementaux et économiques liés à

la prolifération des cyanobactéries et ce, un peu partout sur la planète. Bonne visite!

project partners and collaborators. Its main goal is to communicate the project progress as well as to present and to

share the researchers’ publications. Check it out!  

* La professeure Michèle Prévost de Polytechnique Montréal, titulaire de la Chaire industrielle CRSNG en eau potable etmembre du CREDEAU, a reçu le prix Michel­Jurdant 2017 en sciences de l’environnement, en reconnaissance de sacontribution remarquable aux solutions de traitement, tout comme à l’élaboration de normes de potabilité. Jean­BaptisteBurnet, stagiaire postdoctoral à Polytechnique Montréal, a obtenu un prix du concours « La preuve par l’image » lors du 73Gala de l’Association francophone pour le savoir (ACFAS). Lire la suite 

Michéle Prévost, Professor of Polytechnique Montréal, received the 2017 Michel­Jurdant prize in environmental science as arecognition of her outstanding contribution to treatment solutions as well as to the development of potability standards. Also, aPolytechnique Montréal postdoc fellow, Jean­Baptiste Burnet won a prize for « La preuve par l’image » contest at the 73rdACFAS Gala. Read more 

* Peter Dietsch, professeur titulaire au Département de philosophie et directeur de l’axe éthique et économie du Centre derecherche en éthique de l’Université de Montréal, a été nommé au Collège de nouveaux chercheurs et créateurs en arts et enscience de la Société royale du Canada, notamment pour ses recherches sur les questions de distribution en éthiqueéconomique et sociale. Lire la suite 

Peter Dietsch, Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Director of the Ethics and Economics Division of CRE at theUniversité de Montréal, has been appointed to the College of New Scholars, Artist and Scientists of the Royal Society ofCanada for his research in Economic and Social Ethics. Read more

Deuxième rencontre ATRAPP CSR : 28 novembre 2017L’équipe ATRAPP a tenu sa deuxième réunion avec le Comité de surveillance de la recherche (CSR) le 28 novembre dernier.Le mandat du CSR est de surveiller et de faire des recommandations concernant l’avancement du projet ATRAPP ainsi quede fournir des conseils à l’équipe de recherche pour que le projet atteigne ses objectifs et franchise ses jalons. 

The ATRAPP had its second Research Oversight Committee (ROC) meeting last November 28, 2017. The mandate of theROC is to monitor and make recommendations regarding the progress of the ATRAPP project as well as to provide adviceand guidance to the research team to help ensure that the project achieves its stated objectives and milestones.
