The bookletsIn the booklet, all the information provided aims at whetting the general reader’s curiosity by

asking simple questions:

•Where and when? A political and musical map of the geographical region concerned at

the relevant period, combined with a few key dates and a literary and artistic context.

•Who? The men and their works grouped under historical headings, in the CD’s running

order, and a complete list of the harmonia mundi artists, track by track.

•How? Every CD contains four or five general headings, each of which is given a page of

detailed presentation intended to answer the most frequently asked questions.

• to which is added a brief overview of the instruments of the period (p.16).

Dans le livret, l'ensemble des informations s'attache à aiguiser lacuriosité du grand public en posant des questions simples :• Où et quand ? Une carte politique et musicale de la zone géogra-phique concernée à l'époque concernée, associée à quelques dates clefset à une mise en perspective littéraire et esthétique ;• Qui ?
