Ÿ≅ƒÍ”∴s? Í“ƒÍ•yè ø9$# ËΛÏm§�9$# ∩∈∪ A revelation of the Mighty, the

Merciful. (5)

That you may warn a people whose fathers were not

warned, so they are heedless. (6)

ô‰ s)s9 ¨,xm ãΑ öθs)ø9$# #’n?tã öΝ ÏδÎ�nYø.r& ôΜ ßγ sù Ÿω tβθãΖÏΒ÷σãƒ ∩∠∪

Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they

do not believe.(7)

$‾ΡÎ) $uΖ ù=yè y_ þ’Îû öΝÎγ É)≈ sΨôãr& Wξ≈n=øîr& }‘ Îγ sù ’n<Î) Surely We have placed chains

on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so

they have their heads raised


Èβ$s% øŒF{ $# Νßγ sù tβθßsyϑø)–Β ∩∇∪ aloft. (8)

$uΖ ù=yè y_ uρ . ÏΒ È÷t/ öΝ Îκ‰Ï‰ ÷ƒ r& #t‰ y™ ôÏΒuρ óΟÎγ Ï�ù=yz

#t‰ y™ öΝ ßγ≈sΨøŠ t± øîr' sù ôΜ ßγsù Ÿω tβρã�ÅÇö7 ãƒ ∩∪

And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that

they do not see.(9)

í!#uθy™ uρ öΝÎκö� n=tã öΝ ßγ s?ö‘x‹Ρ r&u ôΘ r& óΟs9 öΝèδö‘É‹Ζè? Ÿω tβθãΖÏΒ÷σãƒ ∩⊇⊃∪

And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not

believe. (10)

$yϑ ‾ΡÎ) â‘ É‹Ψè? Ç tΒ yì t7? $# u� ò2Ïe%! $# zÅ yzuρ z≈ uΗ÷q §�9$#

É=ø‹tó ø9$$Î/ ( çνö�Åe³t6 sù ;οu� Ï�øó yϑ Î/ 9� ô_ r&uρ AΟƒ Í� Ÿ2 ∩⊇⊇∪

You can only warn him who follows the reminder and

fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so an o him

forgiveness and an honorable reward.(11)

öΝ èδu�≈rO#uuρ 4 ¨≅ä.uρ >óx« çµ≈uΖ øŠ |Á ômr& þ’Îû 5Θ$tΒÎ)

&Î7 –Β ∩⊇⊄∪

Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before

and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a

clear writing. (12)

ó>Î�ôÑ $#uρ Μ çλ m; ¸ξ sW ¨Β |=≈ utõ¾r& Ïπ tƒö�s)ø9$# øŒÎ) $yδu!% y

tβθè=y™ ö� ßϑ ø9$# ∩⊇⊂∪

And set out to them an example of the people of the town, when the messengers

came to it. (13)

øŒÎ) !$uΖ ù=y™ ö‘r& ãΝ Îκö� s9Î) È÷uΖ øO $# $yϑ èδθç/ ¤‹ s3sù $tΡø—“ yè sù When We sent to them two, they rejected both of them,

then We strengthened (them)


;] Ï9$sVÎ/ (#ûθä9$s)sù !$‾Ρ Î) Ν ä3ø‹ s9Î) tβθè=y™ ó÷‘∆ ∩⊇⊆∪ with a third, so they said:

Surely we are messengers to you.(14)

(#θä9$s% !$tΒ óΟçFΡr& āωÎ) Ö�|³o0 $sΨè=÷W ÏiΒ !$tΒuρ tΑu“Ρr& ß≈ uΗ÷q §�9$#

ÏΒ >óx« ÷β Î) óΟ çFΡ r& āω Î) tβθ ç/É‹ õ3 s? ∩⊇∈∪

They said: You are naught but mortals like ourselves, nor has the Beneficent Allah revealed anything; you only lie. (15)

(#θä9$s% $uΖ š/u‘ ÞΟn=÷è tƒ !$‾Ρ Î) óΟä3 ø‹s9Î) tβθè=y™ ö� ßϑs9 ∩⊇∉∪ They said: Our Lord knows

that we are most surely messengers to you.(16)

$tΒuρ !$uΖ øŠ n=tã āω Î) à=≈n=t7 ø9$# ÚÎ7 ßϑø9$# ∩⊇∠∪ And nothing devolves on us

but a clear deliverance (of the message). (17)

(#ûθä9$s% $‾Ρ Î) $tΡ ö�£�sÜ s? öΝ ä3Î/ ( È⌡s9 óΟ©9 (#θßγ tF⊥s?

ö/ä3ΨuΗädö�t∴s9 Οä3Ζ¡¡ yϑ u‹ s9uρ $Ζ ÏiΒ ë>#x‹ tã ÒΟŠ Ï9r& ∩⊇∇∪

They said: Surely we augur evil from you; if you do not

desist, we will certainly stone you, and there shall certainly

afflict vou a painful chastisement from us. (18)

(#θä9$s% Νä.ã�È∝ ‾≈ sÛ öΝ ä3yèΒ 4 Ér& Οè?ö� Åe2èŒ 4 ö≅t/ óΟçFΡr&

They said: Your evil fortune is with you; what! if you are reminded! Nay, you are an extravagant people. (19)

ÏΘ öθs)≈ tƒ (#θãèÎ7 ¨?$# šÏ=y™ ö� ßϑ ø9$# ∩⊄⊃∪

And from the remote part of the city there came a man running, he said: O my

people! follow the messengers; (20)

(#θãè Î7 ¨?$# tΒ āω ö/ä3è=t↔ ó¡ o„ #X� ô_ r& Ν èδuρ tβρß‰ tG ôγ–Β Follow him who does not ask you for reward, and they are

the followers of the right course;(21)

And what reason have I that I should not serve Him Who brought me into existence? And to Him you shall be

brought back; (22)

ä‹ ÏƒªBr&u ÏΒ ÿ Ïµ ÏΡρßŠ ºπ yγÏ9#u βÎ) ÈβôŠÍ� ãƒ ß≈ uΗ÷q §�9$#

9h�ÛØÎ/ āω Ç øóè? Éi_tã öΝßγ çFyè≈ x�x© $Z↔ø‹ x© Ÿω uρ

Èβρä‹É)Ζ ãƒ ∩⊄⊂∪

What! shall I take besides Him gods whose intercession, If the Beneficent Allah should

desire to afflict me with a harm, shall not avail me

aught, nor shall they be able to deliver me?(23)

þ’ÏoΤ Î) #]ŒÎ) ’Å∀©9 5≅≈ n=|Ê Î7 –Β ∩⊄⊆∪ In that case I shall most

surely be in clear error:(24)

þ’ÏoΤ Î) àMΖ tΒ#u öΝ ä3În/u� Î/ Èβθãè yϑó™ $$sù ∩⊄∈∪ Surely I believe in your Lord,

therefore hear me. (25)

Ÿ≅Š Ï% È≅äzôŠ$# sπΨpgù:$# ( tΑ$s% |Mø‹ n=≈ tƒ ’ÍΓöθs% tβθßϑ n=÷è tƒ

It was said: Enter the garden. He said: O would that my people had known (26)

my Lord has forgiven me and made me of the honored ones!

upon his people after him any hosts from heaven, nor do We

tβρß‰ Ïϑ≈ yz ∩⊄∪ It was naught but a single cry, and lo! they were still. (29)

āω Î) (#θçΡ%x. ÏµÎ/ tβρâÍ“÷κ yJ ó¡ o„ ∩⊂⊃∪

Alas for the servants! there comes not to them an

messenger but they mock at him.(30)

óΟs9r& (#÷ρ u�tƒ ö/ x. $uΖ õ3n=÷δr& Ν ßγn=ö6 s% š∅ÏiΒ Èβρã�à)ø9$#

öΝ åκ ®Ξr& öΝÎκ ö� s9Î) Ÿω tβθãèÅ_ö� tƒ ∩⊂⊇∪

Do they not consider how many of the generations have We destroyed before them, because they do not turn to

them?(31)

βÎ) uρ @≅ä. $£ϑ ©9 ÓìŠÏΗsd $uΖ ÷ƒt$ ©! tβρã�|ØøtèΧ ∩⊂⊄∪ And all of them shall surely be brought before Us. (32)

×π tƒ#uuρ ãΝ çλ°; ÞÚ ö‘F{ $# èπtG ø‹ yϑø9$# $yγ≈ uΖ ÷�u‹ ômr&

$sΨô_{�÷zr&uρ $pκ ÷] ÏΒ ${7 xm çµ ÷ΨÏϑsù tβθè=à2 ù'tƒ ∩⊂⊂∪

And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain, so

they eat of it.(33)

$sΨù= yè y_ uρ $yγŠ Ïù ;M≈ ¨Ζy_ ÏiΒ 5≅Š ÏƒªΥ 5=≈ sΨôãr&uρ

$tΡ ö� ¤fsù uρ $pκ�Ïù z ÏΒ Èβθã‹ ãèø9$# ∩⊂⊆∪

And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines and We make springs to flow forth

in it, (34)

(#θè=à2ù' u‹ Ï9 ÏΒ Ïν Í�yϑrO $tΒuρ çµ ÷G n=Ïϑ tã öΝ Îγƒ Ï‰ ÷ƒr& ( That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did

not make it; will they not then


Ÿξ sùr& tβρã� à6ô± o„ ∩⊂∈∪ be grateful?(35)

z≈ ysö6 ß™ “Ï%©! $# t,n=yz yl uρ ø—F{ $# $yγ ‾=à2 $£ϑ ÏΒ

àMÎ7 /Ψè? ÞÚ ö‘F{ $# ôÏΒuρ óΟÎγ Å¡ à�Ρr& $£ϑ ÏΒuρ Ÿω βθßϑ n=÷è tƒ ∩⊂∉∪

Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind

and of what they do not know.(36)

×π tƒ#uuρ ãΝ çλ°; ã≅ø‹ ©9$# ã‡ n=ó¡ nΣ çµ ÷Ζ ÏΒ u‘$pκ ¨]9$# #sŒÎ*sù Ν èδ

tβθßϑÏ=øà–Β ∩⊂∠∪

And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in

the dark;(37)

ß§ôϑ¤±9$#uρ “Í� øgrB 9h� s)tG ó¡ ßϑÏ9 $yγ ©9 4 y7Ï9¨sŒ ã�ƒÏ‰ ø)s?

Í“ƒ Í•yè ø9$# ÉΟŠÏ=yè ø9$# ∩⊂∇∪

And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the

Knowing.(38)

u�yϑ s)ø9$# uρ çµ≈tΡö‘ £‰ s% tΑ Î—$sΨtΒ 4®Lxm yŠ$tã Èβθã_ó�ãè ø9$% x.

ÉΟƒ Ï‰ s)ø9$# ∩⊂∪

And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry

palm branch. (39)

Ÿω ß§ôϑ¤±9$# Èö t7 .⊥tƒ !$oλ m; β r& x8Í‘ô‰è? u�yϑs)ø9$# Ÿωuρ

ã≅ø‹ ©9$# ß,Î/$y™ Í‘$pκ ¨]9$# 4 @≅ä.uρ ’Îû 77n=sù šχθßst7ó¡ o„

∩⊆⊃∪

Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the

moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float

on in a sphere. (40)


×π tƒ#uuρ öΝ çλ°; $‾Ρ r& $uΖ ù=uΗxq öΝ åκ yJ§ƒ Íh‘èŒ ’Îû Å7ù=à�ø9$#

Èβθßsô± yϑ ø9$# ∩⊆⊇∪

And a sign to them is that We bear their offspring in the

laden ship. (41)

$uΖ ø)n=yz uρ Μçλ m; ÏiΒ Ï&Í# ÷VÏiΒ $tΒ tβθç6 x.ö�tƒ ∩⊆⊄∪ And We have created for them the like of it, what they will

ride on. (42)

βÎ) uρ ù' t± °Σ öΝ ßγ ø%Í� øóçΡ Ÿξ sù s††Î�|À öΝ çλm; Ÿω uρ öΝèδ

tβρä‹ s)Ζãƒ ∩⊆⊂∪

And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor

shall they be rescued(43)

āω Î) ZπuΗ÷q u‘ $Ζ ÏiΒ $�è≈tFtΒuρ 4’n<Î) &Ïm ∩⊆⊆∪ But (by) mercy from Us and

for enjoyment till a time. (44)

#sŒÎ) uρ Ÿ≅Š Ï% ãΝßγ s9 (#θà)? $# $tΒ t÷t/ öΝä3ƒÏ‰ ÷ƒ r& $tΒuρ

ö/ä3 x�ù=yz ö/ä3 ‾=yè s9 tβθçΗxq ö� è? ∩⊆∈∪

And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on

you. (45)

$tΒuρ ΝÎκ� Ï?ù' s? ô ÏiΒ 7πtƒ#u ôÏiΒ ÏM≈ tƒ#u öΝ Îκ Íh5 u‘ āω Î) (#θçΡ% x.

$pκ ÷] tã tÅÊ Í� ÷è ãΒ ∩⊆∉∪

And there comes not to them a communication of the

communications of their Lord but they turn aside from

it.(46)

#sŒÎ) uρ Ÿ≅Š Ï% öΝçλ m; (#θà)Ï�Ρ r& $£ϑÏΒ â/ä3 s% y—u‘ ª!$# tΑ$s%

t Ï%©! $# (#ρ ã�x�Ÿ2 t Ï% ©#Ï9 (#ûθãΖ tΒ#u ãΝÏè ôÜçΡ r& tΒ öθ©9

â!$t± o„ ª! $# ÿ…çµ yϑyè ôÛr& ÷βÎ) óΟçFΡ r& āω Î) ’Îû 5≅≈ n=|Ê &Î7 –Β

And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has

given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He

could feed? You are in naught but clear error. (47)

tÏ% Ï‰≈ |¹ ∩⊆∇∪

And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are

truthful? (48)

$tΒ tβρã� ÝàΖtƒ āω Î) ZπysøŠ|¹ Zοy‰ Ïn uρ öΝ èδä‹ è{ù' s? öΝèδ uρ

tβθßϑÅ_Á Ïƒs† ∩⊆∪

They wait not for aught but a single cry which will overtake them while they yet contend

with one another.(49)

Ÿξ sù tβθãè‹ÏÜtF ó¡ tƒ Zπ uŠ Ï¹ öθs? Iωuρ #’n<Î) öΝ ÎγÏ=÷δ r&

šχθãèÅ_ö�tƒ ∩∈⊃∪

So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. (50)

y‡Ï�çΡ uρ ’Îû Í‘θ÷Á9$# #sŒÎ* sù Ν èδ z ÏiΒ Ï^#y‰ ÷` F{ $# 4’n<Î)

öΝÎγ În/ u‘ šχθè=Å¡Ψtƒ ∩∈⊇∪

And the trumpet shall be blown, when lo ! from their

graves they shall hasten on to their Lord. (51)

(#θä9$s% $uΖ n=÷ƒuθ≈ tƒ . tΒ $uΖ sVyè t/ ÏΒ $tΡ Ï‰s% ö� ¨Β 2 3 #x‹≈ yδ $tΒ

y‰ tã uρ ß≈uΗ÷q §�9$# s−y‰ |¹ uρ šχθè=y™ ö� ßϑ ø9$# ∩∈⊄∪

They shall say: O woe to us! who has raised us up from our sleeping-place? This is what

the Beneficent Allah promised and the messengers told the

truth. (52)

βÎ) ôMtΡ$Ÿ2 āωÎ) Zπysø‹ |¹ Zο y‰ Ïnüρ #sŒÎ* sù öΝ èδ

ÓìŠ ÏΗsd $sΨ÷ƒ t$©! tβρã�|ØøtèΧ ∩∈⊂∪

There would be naught but a single cry, when lo ! they shall all be brought before Us; (53)


tΠöθu‹ ø9$$sù Ÿω ãΝ n=øàè? Ó§ø�tΡ $Z↔ ø‹ x© Ÿω uρ šχ ÷ρu“øgéB

āω Î) $tΒ óΟçFΖ à2 tβθè=yϑ ÷ès? ∩∈⊆∪

So this day no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and you shall not be rewarded aught but that

which you did.(54)

¨βÎ) |=≈ ysô¹ r& Ïπ ¨Ψpgù:$# tΠöθu‹ ø9$# ’Îû 5≅äó ä© tβθßγ Å3≈ sù

∩∈∈∪

Surely the dwellers of the garden shall on that day be in an occupation quite happy.

They and their wives shall be in shades, reclining on raised

öΝ çλm; $pκ� Ïù ×π yγÅ3≈sù Ν çλ m;uρ $Β tβθãã£‰ tƒ ∩∈∠∪ They shall have fruits therein, and they shall have whatever

they desire.(57)

ÖΝ≈n=y™ Zωöθs% ÏiΒ 5b>§‘ 5ΟŠÏm §‘ ∩∈∇∪ Peace: a word from a Merciful

Lord. (58)

(#ρ â“≈tF øΒ$#uρ tΠöθu‹ ø9$# $pκ š‰r& tβθãΒÍ�ôf ãΚø9$# ∩∈∪ And get aside today, O guilty

ones! (59)

* óΟs9r& ô‰ yγ ôãr& öΝ ä3ø‹ s9Î) ûÉ_ t6≈ tƒ tΠyŠ#u χ r& āω (#ρ ß‰ç7÷è s? z≈sÜ ø‹ ¤±9$# ( … çµ ‾ΡÎ) öΝä3 s9 Aρ ß‰ tã ×Î7 –Β ∩∉⊃∪

Did I not charge you, O children of Adam, that you

should not serve the Shaitan? Surely he is your open

enemy,(60)

Èβ r&uρ ’ÏΤρ ß‰ç6 ôã$# 4 #x‹≈ yδ ÔÞü�ÅÀ ÒΟŠÉ)tG ó¡ –Β ∩∉⊇∪ And that you should serve Me;

this is the right way. (61)

ô‰ s)s9uρ ¨≅|Ê r& óΟä3ΖÏΒ yξÎ7 Å_ #¶�� ÏW x. ( öΝ n=sù r& (#θçΡθä3 s? And certainly he led astray

numerous people from among you. What! could you not then

Ïν É‹≈ yδ ãΛ©yγ y_ ÉL©9$# óΟ çFΖ ä. šχρ ß‰tãθè? ∩∉⊂∪ This is the hell with which you

were threatened. (63)

$yδöθn=ô¹ $# tΠöθu‹ ø9$# $yϑ Î/ óΟ çFΖ ä. šχρ ã�à�õ3s? ∩∉⊆∪ Enter into it this day because

you disbelieved.(64)

tΠöθu‹ ø9$# ÞΟÏF øƒwΥ #’n?tã öΝ Îγ Ïδ uθøù r& !$uΖ ßϑ Ïk=s3 è?uρ öΝÎκ‰Ï‰ ÷ƒ r&

ß‰ pκô¶ s? uρ Ν ßγè=ã_ ö‘r& $yϑ Î/ (#θ çΡ%x. tβθç6 Å¡ õ3tƒ ∩∉∈∪

On that day We will set a seal upon their mouths, and their hands shall speak to Us, and

their feet shall bear witness of what they earned.(65)

öθs9uρ â!$t± nΣ $sΨó¡ yϑ sÜ s9 #’n?tã öΝÎκ È] ã‹ôãr& (#θà)t7tF ó™ $$sù

xÞ u� Å_Á9$# 4’‾Τ r'sù šχρ ã�ÅÇö7 ãƒ ∩∉∉∪

And if We please We would certainly put out their eyes, then they would run about

that We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs,(15)

�}18{ يـوم يـنـفخ في الصور فـتأتون أفـواجا �the day on which the trumpet shall be blown; so, you shall come forth

�}19{ وفتحت السماء فكانت أبـوابا �And the heaven shall be opened so that it shall be all openings.(19)

�}20{ وسيـرت الجبال فكانت سرابا �And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere

�}21{ إن جهنم كانت مرصادا �Surely, hell lies in wait(21)

�}22{ للطاغين مآبا �a place of resort for the

�}23{ لابثين فيها أحقابا �living therein for ages.(23)

�}24{ لا يذوقون فيها بـردا ولا شرابا �They shall not taste therein cool nor

drink;(24)

يما وغساقا �}25{ إلا حم �but boiling and intensely cold

�}26{ جزاء وفاقا �Requital corresponding.(26)

�{27} إنـهم كانوا لا يـرجون حسابا �Surely, they feared not the

ابا بوا بآياتنا كذ {28} وكذ� �and called Our communications a

lie, giving the lie (to the truth).(28)

�{29} وكل شيء أحصيـناه كتابا �And We have recorded everything in

a book.(29)

�{30} فذوقوا فـلن نزيدكم إلا عذابا �So, taste! For We will not add to you

aught but chastisement.(30)


�{31} اإن للمتقين مفاز �Surely, for those who guard (against

evil) is achievement:(31)

�{32} حدائق وأعنابا �gardens and vineyards,(32)

رابا �{33} وكواعب أتـ �and voluptuous women of equal

ابالا يسمعون {35} فيها لغوا ولا كذ� �They shall not hear therein any vain

words nor lying.(35)

�{36} جزاء من ربك عطاء حسابا �A reward from your Lord, a gift according to a reckoning.(36)

نـهما الرحمن لا ◌ رب السماوات والأرض وما بـيـ�}37{ يملكون منه خطابا �

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Beneficent Allah, they shall not be

able to address Him(37)

لا يـتكلمون ◌ الملائكة صفا يـوم يـقوم الروح و �}38{ ل صواباإلا من أذن له الرحمن وقا �

the day on which the spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks. They

shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who

speaks the right thing.(38)

لك اليـوم الحق فمن شاء اتخذ إلى ربه ◌ ذ�}39{ مآبا �

That is the sure day. So, whoever desires may take refuge with his

Lord.(39)

إنا أنذرناكم عذابا قريبا يـوم يـنظر المرء ما مت يدا ه ويـقول الكافر يا ليتني كنت قد

Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no

incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again,

can you see any disorder?(3)

Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall '~ come back

to you confused while it is fatigued.(4)

And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the

Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of

When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it

Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper

shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner?(8)

They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected

(him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a

listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the

(As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have

And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is

Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold

His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion.(21)

And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the
