Ms. Morgan Final Exam Substitution ESL Department ESLDO, ESLEO

ESL Students,

For your final task of semester one, you will be completing guided novel study.

You will choose a novel (from the list or your own choice) and you will choose

how you would like to show your learning and interaction with the novel. You

have four choices:

1) Create a blog written from the perspective of the main character in your

novel and one social media page (on poster or Bristol board).

2) Create a book trailer (like a movie trailer but instead of advertising and

highlighting a film, you will be advertising the novel that you read and

highlighting some of the main points).

3) Create a time capsule for one of the characters in your novel with

physical and writing evidence of their life and times.

4) Your choice! (Must be approved by Ms. Morgan)

For each choice you will need to display your knowledge of plot, character,

conflict, theme and setting.

This is worth 15% of your final mark and is due during the exam period

of semester one.

Class time will be given to read and to prepare.
