    Battery

    Supply

    Units

    GeneralThe battery supply unit connects the power supply to thebattery, and is designed as a floor standing sheet steel cabinet,with hinged front door and corresponding KKS marking.

    The unit should stand adjacent to the power supply, and isconnected via copper bus bar.

    The connection to the battery can be via parallel single corecable or copper bus bar. The unit can be provided with top orbottom cable entry.

    The requirements of the UVV BGV A2 are met, especially withregard to protection against accidental contact.

    EquipmentThe standard battery supply units are equipped as follows:

    NH-fused load disconnection switch equipped with thecorresponding battery fuses with fuse monitoring.

    battery circuit monitoring (BK), either as BK withcharging current measuring or as BS (batterysymmetry monitoring) with centre tap of the battery

    2-pole push-button and the corresponding fuses andresistors for charging the smoothing capacitors in thepower supply units before putting in the battery fuses

    ammeter with middle zero point for the measurement ofthe battery current

    voltmeter for the battery voltage with the correspondingfusing

    lamp fault copper bars and connection plates for the battery andload cables as well as the cross bar to the rectifier

    KKS-marking as engraved plastic label

    RatingThe battery supply units can optionally be delivered for 24 V,110 V and for 220 V in different current sizes. The standardcurrent allocations can be taken from the type table.
