NOKIA PLANTA II.

Issue:
Report the incident that occurred with the detection and alarm
system.
The Friday March 16th 2012 we go to the Nokia building for
review of a situation that occurred
with the detection and alarm system in the server.
We were informed that while working on some maintenance on the
loop alarm system in a given
area, occurred downloading the server room system
We proceed to review the history to see if we have any
indication which may have been thecause of the activation.
According to records obtained no evidence of any cause (we refer
to some activation by adevice programmed in the discharge area)
what had caused the system discharge.It leads us todeduce and
according to the activities being carried out it was a mistake in
the process of theactivity to be performed,this is when we make a
communication breakdown with loop devices,the system send an
invalid response problem (INVALID REPLY).
As a precaution we, when there are discharge zones programmed
into alarm panel, we removeor disconnect the solenoids for the
following reason: when the loop is connected to this systembegins
to communicate with each of the devices which indicate their
presence by a pulse
generated as the communication protocol, in the case of the
control modules is a situation thatmust be considered since they
generate short pulses in the range of microseconds aresometimes
sufficient to energize an device installed in output,therefore
always be carried outsuch an activity is recommended to remove or
de-energize the solenoid.
Therefore, due that system does not record any device of the
discharge zone that had beenactivated as to cause discharge Inergen
system, We think that what happened was when thecontrol module sent
the pulse to be recognized by the control panel.
On the other hand was seen in the history , recurring problems
of communication of groundfailures,even, on several occasions have
been accessed the programming mode ;this latter if itis not
performing by qualified personnel for the programming of this type
of equipment, could bea possible cause of an equipment
malfunction.
We recommend making a good review of the system wiring and
making some adjustments inprogramming.
