However a GRA official has confirmed that it is a Hawkstone Scrambler, and clearly saw hard competition in its early years - any info on its history welcomed! 1960 Norton Dominator 99 Café 6008 1960-69 Competition / Special

Bike Details: I purchased the Dominator in 2015 from Roy Hands who used to sprint race it, but stopped around 7 years previously. He has a timed standing quarter mile of 12.3 seconds with 99mph at the post using the bike in the under 750cc class. Obviously the gearing has been altered so she is fit for the road, but I have the necessaries to turn her back into a sprinter if I want (which I don’t). She is very quick in any event, with polished cams, twin carb conversion, racing clutch and gear internals, racing twistgrip, beefed up headstock, much improved brakes amongst other improvements. Since purchase I have gone back to magneto ignition and replaced the carbs and Siamese pipes.

Bike Details: This machine was re-imported from the USA and first registered in the UK in 1985. Purchased by the present owner in 2006 as a poor example of a cafe racer. The most difficult modification was removing the tinware primary chain casings and replacing them with a set of early Commando alloy casings. The timing side and oil delivery was a challenge as the top-end cylinder head totally filled with oil after a few miles. A 650cc downdraft head with twin-carbs and a set of swept-back pipes with big-bore silencers have been fitted, together with an aluminium slimline petrol tank and a custom-made oil tank. The rest is down to hours of polishing, to produce a sixties Cafe Racer. The bike is used - ridden up mountains in Italy, thrashed over the mountain in the Isle of Man and completed parade laps at Brands Hatch and Donington.

1966 Honda CB160 Twin 16192 1960-69 Lightweight Overseas

Bike Details: I owned a brand new machine identical to this bike in 1966 which cost £239=10/6 pence new! This one has now cost me 15 times that price, quite rare and a great little bike. This machine was crudely restored back in 1998 onwards. Mechanically it was in very good condition but left a lot to be desired in the nut and bolt department. It was re-registered back 2001 due to loss of the logbook, the registration is Welsh. It's been fitted with quality indicators for safety, something very few bikes had in the 1960s.Over 3 weeks I have stripped it down to frame and engine, cleaned/polished all the chrome and paintwork. New front pipes were obtained from Bangkok for £14 pounds + shipping, great quality and cheaper than £700 wanted for new items that do not exist. The silencers are from a later model but fit nicely and sound correct. They're made by the British firm Brituro.

1981 Ducati TT2 75029 1970 On Competition / Special Overseas

Bike Details: In 1981 Ducati prepared a special racing twin based on the production model, simply known as the TT2.The frame is extremely light at just 7kg made by Verlicchi Italy. The forks are Marzocchi with magnesium-dash alloy sheaths, while the single-shock cantilever rear-suspension used a single Paioli unit. Also fitted are Campagnolo ultra-light alloy wheels with an 18" diameter. All original parts were used to build it & we think it looks pretty nice & a dead ringer for the original factory bike. The brakes are Brembo 280mm on the front & 260mm on the rear. The under-engine exhaust is by Quill from Two Wheel Classics & the rest is lots of hard work and time. The bike will be used at CRMC events, the Belgian Classic GP at Spa & the Classic TT.
