The ski slopes are closed each day from 5.00 pm to 8.45 am! You are not permitted to ski or stay on the slopes during these times.

On Wednesdays the pistes may be used by “First Track” participants from 7.30 am.

Exceptions in Serfaus The Mittel, Süd and Wald downhill runs are closed from

6.00 pm (except on Wednesdays: Mittel downhill and tobogganing run are closed 5.00 pm – 6.00 pm, open from 6.00 pm – 11.00 pm for “Adventure Night”).

Exceptions in Fiss The Ladis, Poschi and Winkel downhill are accessible

daily from as early as 8.30 am, the Möseralm downhill for night skiing is open from 5.45 pm until 10 pm and the Toboggan evening is open from 5.45 pm until 9.30 pm. Warning: The toboggan evening is only for sledging.

Piste maintenance and snow-grooming vehicles with winch cablesWe occasionally need to deploy piste maintenance machi-

nes on the slopes when they are still being used by skiers. Please ensure you keep a safe distance from such machi-nes in the interests of your own safety. Please heed acou-stic and visual warning signals at all times!After pistes close at the end of the day winch cables frompiste maintenance devices present a potential hazard. Thecable car operators accept no liability for accidents! Pleasenote that in the case of persistent snowfall, groomed slopesmay once again become snowed over prior to opening sothat they may not always be completely frozen. As a result,moguls and piles of snow may form shortly after the ski slopes are in use.

Closure of pistes and avalanche blastingFor safety reasons, avalanche blasting may take place if large amounts of fresh snow have fallen. Detonations usu-ally take place in the early hours before the start of regular ski operations. If there is a particularly large volume of new snow, avalanche blasting may also have to take place while the slopes are being used by skiers. The affected areas are then closed for skiing! Watch out for information at stations and terminals!

Backcountry skiingIf you intend to go skiing outside the secured area you areadvised in the interests of your own safety to find out aboutthe risk of avalanches, any planned avalanche blasting andweather conditions from the cable car operators.

TobogganingPlease do not use the ski slopes. Use the tobogganing run or the signposted tobogganing slopes.

Skiing accidentsPlease report the type and location of the accident to thenearest lift station or terminal, or contact the mountain rescue services directly.

Inspections and fraudulent useAdmission checks are carried out at the cable car valley terminals using automatic scanners. Please follow the ins-tructions of the staff and use the ticket inspection machines properly. On-the-spot inspections take place in the ski area. Therefore, you should always carry your ski pass with you. Any incident of fraudulent use or bypassing of the scanners shall result in immediate confiscation of the ski pass. We reserve the right to report the offence to the poli-ce. Anyone caught in the inspection zones without a valid ski pass shall be required to pay a fine set at twice the allday ticket rate. A receipt showing that the fine has been paid can be used as a ski pass on the same day. Please note that under the Austrian railways liability act, only custo-mers with a valid ski pass are covered for insurance purpo-ses. Do not buy any ski passes from unauthorised vendors – such ski passes may be blocked! Furthermore, you are committing an offence by doing so! Kindly note that for admission control purposes a reference photo shall be taken of the lift pass holders when they pass through a turnstile equipped with a camera for the first time. Lift personnal shall compare this photographic image with photos taken each time the user passes through a turnstile equipped with a camera. The reference photo shall be deleted immediately upon expiry of the lift pass validity; other photos shall be deleted no later than 30 minutes after the user passes through a turnstile.

NEW “DORFBAHN” UNDERGROUND RAILWAY – 2ND PHASE OF CONSTRUCTIONStation „Kirche“ (church): The renovations at the bottom access tunnel with the historical panels about the village of Serfaus were completed on time for the summer season. Station „Zentrum“ (Centre): a new, modern, well-lit, and barrier-free rail station. Panels about the clubs and associations in Serfaus will provide information in an interesting, child-friendly and interactive way. Electrical engineering: The exchange has been completed and the improvements are already evident. Now, the railway slides much smoother into the station, and the entry to the single stations is faster.

YOUR FRONT-ROW SEAT AT 2,828 M. At the new viewing platform on the Masnerkopf peak at the highest point in the ski area an imposing bearded vulture stone sculpture by the Serfausian sculptor and artist Walter File welcomes you. A spectacular panoramic view - with or without the adventure telescopes - and free WiFi is inclu-ded on top.

DOUBLE CONVEYOR LIFT „MÄRCHENEXPRESS“Fairy tale express double conveyor lift offers our little guests even more fun in Berta’s Kinderland Fiss-Ladis. To ensure that even very young children can easily and con-veniently learn how to ski without having to wait, the Märchenexpress is equipped with two ski lifts running in parallel to each other. Three well-known fairy tales are shown during the ascend so that children don’t get bored.

BROADER PISTES ON THE MASNERKOPFThe exit area on the Masnerkopf, the entry to the Hexensee piste and the Mindersjoch piste have been considerably broadened and will make skiing in the Masnerkopf area even more enjoyable.

NEW WINTER HIKING TRAILA new hiking trail leads from the mid-way station of the Schönjochbahn via the Gample to the Kuhalm in Fiss or to the Frommesalm.
