    The Roth String Quartet, consisting of four distinguished virtuosi. FERI ROTH and RACHMAEL WEINSTOCK, Violinists; JULIUS SHAIER, Violist; and OLIVER ED EL, Violoncellist; in the Second Annual Chamber Music Festival in the Lecture Hall of the Rackham Building, January 23 and 24. This organization has been heard in Ann Arbor on two previous occasions in the Choral Union Series, in 1938 and again in 1939. At this Festival lovers of cham-ber music will have an opportunity of hearing the following programs:

    Quartet in F major, Op. 135 BEETHOVEN

    Reserved seat tickets may be secured at the offices of the University Musical Society in Burton Memorial Tower at the following prices, which in-clude tax: series (three concerts), $2.75 and $2.20; single concerts, $1.10.

    Alec Templeton, Pianist, will be heard in a special concert Thursday evening, February 26, at 8:30. Reserved seat tickets, including tax: 95^, 75^, and 55^.

    Choral Union Series. THE MINNEAPOLIS SYMPHONY ORCHES-TRA, DIMITRI MITROPOULOS, Conductor, will be heard Tuesday eve-ning, February 3; JOSEPH SZIGETI, Violinist, Thursday evening, February 19; and VITYA VRONSKY and VICTOR BABIN, Pianists, Tuesday eve-ning, March 3.

    The Forty-Ninth Annual May Festival consisting of six concerts will take place May 6, 7, S, and 9. The Philadelphia Orchestra, Eugene Ormandy, Conductor; The Choral Union, Thor Johnson, Conductor; and the Youth Chorus, Juva Higbee, Conductor, will participate. Choral works will include Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and Honegger's "King David." Negotiations are pending with distinguished soloists, both vocal and instrumental.
