Microdermabrasion is an excellent tool for reducing the size and smoothing the texture of scars. The treatment protocol includes both scar reduction and also stimulation of the surrounding tissue to enhance collagen production to restore flat, smooth skin. Microdermabrasion for acne scars is one of the most effective acne scars removal treatments. PROCEDURE: 1. Cleansing Apply botana-gel cleanser with green tea to the area being treated. Massage gently to cleanse. Rinse with water and pat dry. 2. Microdermabrasion Procedure** Microdermabrasion can be performed to a post-operative or post-trauma scar after the healing process, usually around 8 weeks afterwards. Redness is not contraindicated but petechiae should be avoided when working with new scars. After a scar is at least 1 year old, petechiae is the desired endpoint. Dry the skin thoroughly prior to treatment. For scars that have contracture, first do two passes across the scar, zig-zagging motion. Then hold microdermabrasion hand-piece in one spot for about 5 seconds and then “pop” off skin, moving along the scar border with each successive placement – up one side and down the other. If in a medical setting, hold gold handpiece on skin until pin prick blood established (make sure that sterilization methods for handpiece are in place and replace tubing after treatment).Petechiae is the desired endpoint if not in a medical setting. Dust any particles off the skin. Spray bio repair spray generously on the area that was treated. **MegaPeel Settings: If using a MegaPeel microdermabrasion system, use the following treatment parameters: Silver hand-piece: 45-60 kPa with clear divided tip (on new scars). Gold hand-piece: 50-65 kPa with gold tip (on old, heavy or keloid scars). 3. vitA-clear serum Immediately apply a liberal amount of the vitA-clear serum all over the area being treated. 4. argan boost serum Follow by a layer of argan boost serum™ mixed with the vitA-clear serum . 5.
