Adoration in Church on Wednesdays

We invite you to join us for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 pm in the church. (You do not need to stay for

the entire duration; you may come at any time). The evening will include time for private prayer from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, followed by public prayers and Benediction from 7:00- 7:30 pm. Reservations are required each week; visit sjalisle.org and click on the link near the top of the page for reservations. (If you do not have internet access, please call the Parish Office at 630-963-4500 each week to make a reservation.) Online reservations will be accessible each week from 9 am Thursday to Noon Wednesday, or until all of the reservations are filled.

The World Day of Prayer for Vocations is observed on the Fourth Sunday of Easter, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes.

Electronic Recycling Event/Textile & Book Collection at Christ the Servant Parish Christ the Servant Parish (8700 Havens Drive, Woodridge) is hosting an Electronic Recycling Event and Textile Collection in their parking lot Parish on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 8:30-11:30. For this event, Do not get out of your car. Space cars out. Exact change only. Workers wear masks. Do not sign credit card receipts. What electronics will be collected? Almost anything with a cord attached to it! This includes computer equipment, cell phones, extension cords, copy machines, hard drives, etc. Televisions are costly to recycle. The Electronics Recycling Company, eWorks, will be charging fees for: CRT, Flat Screens, Projection TVs and Monitors. The fees for these items are: $25.00 per unit for screens less than 21 inches / $35.00 per unit for screens 21 inches and over Cash or Credit Cards are accepted – Please No Checks We CANNOT accept white goods, air conditioners, hazardous waste, radioactive waste, bio-hazardous waste or mercury con-taining devices like light bulbs or thermostats. We are also collecting textiles. Bring in your old textiles: Clothing, sheets, household textiles in any condition; No heavily soiled items. Items must be in plastic bags. All Types of Books Will Be Accepted – ONE BOX per car. Donations to support the Christ the Servant Green Team service projects will be greatly appreciated. Mass Schedule Monday-Friday: 8:15 AM Saturday: 8:15 AM and 4:00 PM Sunday: 7:30, 9:30, 11:30 AM (Reservations required for Saturday 4pm and all Sunday Masses. Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday: 9:00 - 10:00 AM (Use south Church entrance) Baptisms: Parents are asked to call the Parish Office to make arrangements for Baptism. Please be advised that each godparent is required to submit a sponsor eligibility form prior to the parents receiving a date for their child's baptism. Parents of children to be baptized are required to view a video on the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptisms take place at 1:00 PM each Sunday. Marriages: Contact the Parish Office before making any other commitments. Either the bride or groom, or their parents, must be a registered parishioner for 3 months prior to calling to set a wedding date. SJA Alumni may also be married at our parish. The diocese requires a minimum preparation time of six months between the first conference with the Pastor and the wedding. Parish Membership: Registration forms can be obtained on the parish website or by contacting the Parish Office. Becoming Catholic/Adult Confirmation: We welcome any adult interested in becoming a Catholic and/or have not yet been Confirmed to contact Michael Lewandowski at 630-353-4531 regarding sacramental preparation. Pastoral Ministers of Care are available to bring the Holy Eucharist to hospital patients, residents of health care or assisted living facilities, and to those who are homebound. Please call the Parish Nurse, Sandy Razka, at 630-353-4533 to make arrangements. Sick Calls: Call the Parish Office anytime. Please let us know if anyone in your family is ill so that a priest may visit them. Funerals: Please make arrangements with the church before any publication in the newspaper. Bereavement Support: “The Way of Hope” is a Christ-centered Catholic support group for the bereaved who have lost a spouse, family member or close friend through death. St. Monica Prayer Group: Each month, prayers are of-fered for the conversion and return to the Catholic faith of loved ones.
