Phase IIb clinical trial
• 77 patients, 2 arms with or without MS
• No observed toxicity
• No recurrence at the vicinity of the tumor
• Significant prolongation of the median survival
• But need to extend the phase IIb to 200 patients or more to continue the development!

Lesson from this project
• The design of an innovative drug delivery system was great!
• The pharmaceutical development was heavy (too heavy for an academic laboratory?)
• The pharmaceutical development is not the mission of an academic laboratory
• Need to create a start-up company to ensure the development of DDS designed in the lab Carlina Technologies

Tolerance study of blank and PTX LNCS in Beagle dogs
(Safety/Toxicity CRO) - 2 dogs were treated with PTX LNCs (7.5 mg PTX/kg)
- 1 dog was treated with the equivalent dose of empty LNCs
- No pre-treatment
During treatment, the following parameters were monitored :
- ECG
- Blood pressure
- Breathing
- Temperature
Conclusion : treatments were well-tolerated by the dogs
