Experience (13 Years Plus):
I have more than 13 years of working experience with 5 different organizations in the field of Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Operations Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, Logistics & Transportation and Procurement with supporting Administrative and HR tasks as required, including 9 years of experience in working on top ERP systems like SAP R/3, SAP ECC 6, SAP Business One and Oracle Financials. The details are as following: October 2013 to March 2o15 (1 Year & 6 Months): I served Oxford University Press Pakistan as an Asst. Manager Supply Chain (North Region), directly reporting to the RSD North Region with dotted reporting to Senior Manager Operations. Responsibilities include: Supply Chain Management:
• Managing the distribution and warehouse management of the North region including Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Islamabad Warehouses including 3 main Bookshops (Sale Points) and 1 Regional main Distribution center in Islamabad.
• To make sure the supply and availability of books in the whole region within the time to avoid shortages and discrepancies in relevant to Sales and Forecasts.
• Monitoring the stocks of the whole region for smooth sales operations. • Coordinating with the CSD and inventory control staff at the head office for
ordering and stocks transferring Dealing with regional sales team for the forecasting of stock management and annual sales targets.
• Material Resource Planning with the help of latest SAP tools (SAP ECC 6) to avoid shortages and discrepancies in stocks for the regional warehouses.
Inventory/Warehouse Management:
• Responsible for the management of stocks and warehouse management for the whole region.
• Responsibility of stocks (excess & short) at regional warehouses. • Arrangements and distribution of stocks between NR locations. • Warehouse management and issue resolution for all the Regional Warehouses.
Transportation & Distribution Management:
• Fleet management of the company owned vehicles available for the distribution and supply of books to customers, To and fro regional warehouses.
• Maintenance and record of all the vehicles with drivers details and best utilization as per the availability and requirement.
Administration:
• Resource management for the regional warehouses including man power, vehicles, racking, warehouse facilities etc in coordination with HR and Admin personnel’s.
• Comply with company policies and code of conduct in all the manners and activities.
• To make sure the SOPs and Compliances as per OUP’s instructions are being strictly followed in all manner.
• Staff supervision & HR matters, strictly supervision according to company‘s code of conduct in day to day routine work.
June 2012 to August 2013 (1 Year & 3 Months): I worked in Unity Logistics Supply & Support (Unity LSS) as a Manager Operations, Procurement and Inventory. Unity LSS is working for supporting development projects in different parts of the world with different high profile customers especially US Government. Main Responsibilities include: Operations & Support:
• Managing different locations in Afghanistan to support customer development projects.
• Liaison with all the concerned departments including Procurement, Fleet, HR to fulfill the project/customer requirements and timely supply and completion of the tasks.
• Supporting the other departments like fleet and procurement for timely arrangement and delivery of materials and supplies to the respective project locations.
• Helping out issues and constraints in fulfilling the projects. Procurement:
• Sourcing of material required in different projects from different parts of the world with the right price, from the right source, to the right place at the right time.
• Working directly with Manufacturers, Dealers and suppliers globally to ensure the best quality of material procured with least cost involved.
• Sourcing of material in the high risk areas like Afghanistan, Sudan and Iraq.
Logistics & Transportation: • Arrangement of local transportation to move and supply material between
different project locations and warehouses. • Responsible to handle the International shipments from different parts of the
world and timely delivery of material to the POD. • Working directly with International Freight Forwarder companies, Cargo
Airlines, Ocean/Sea Cargo companies. • Tracking and timely delivery of all the shipments regardless of local and
International shipments. • QC of transportation POs, bill of lading, Packing list, Commercial Invoices and all
the relevant documents required for the International and local shipments. • Directly dealing with the FF for the customs and duty issues in different ports.
Inventory/Warehouse Management:
• Managing the warehouses in different locations of Afghanistan created and maintained for the development and customer project supports.
• Creation of flawless inventory management system for different warehouses located in Afghanistan.
July 2008 to April 2012 (3 Year & 10 Months): I have served in The Imperial Electric Company (Pvt.) Ltd (IEC) as a Manager Inventory. Reported and worked directly under Director Operations and MD. Main responsibilities included:
Inventory/Warehouse Management: • Management of inventory of 16 warehouses of the company nationwide. • Establishing of warehouses in 3 different zones nationwide. • Key member of effort to introduce a MRP system and concepts into the
organization while successfully leading the effort to centralize production planning/scheduling, sales forecasting, and the replenishment/distribution processes.
• Lead audit team in all nationwide warehouse audits of the company on yearly basis.
• Inventory differences were reduced to 1% in all warehouses. • Introduced Bin Card System, so that computerized and manual records are all
same without difference and errors. • Defining new items, creating BOM, BOQ and production orders.
Liaison with Production and Procurement Departments:
• Established core processes and business practices around production planning, scheduling and forecasting that resulted in a significant improvement in costs, customer service and credibility.
• Key member of a multifunctional effort that successfully cut order fulfillment time to 24 hours from 72 hours or more.
• Controlling the delivery process. Making possible for the production unit to deliver the product on real time basis physically and in SAP to the customers.
• Raw material arrangement in coordination with Purchase department. • Monthly meetings with key vendors for supporting Purchase department for the
timely delivery of material in factory. Training & Development of Employees:
• Training of newly hired employees on company processes and SAP Business One.
Departmental SOPs/ISO Documentation:
• Creation and maintaining the company process manuals regarding SAP Business One.
• Team member of ISO Internal Audit Team for organizing quarterly audits to fulfill ISO requirements and emphasis to improve departmental process as per the SOPs and ISO standards.
Operations Management:
• I was involved in nationwide operations, starting from quotation to Invoicing. • Working on different modules of SAP Business One including Sales,
Production, Procurement and Inventory modules simultaneously. • Worked as a SAP Support Professional to align the business processes with
SAP Business One. • As a SAP Power User, I was handling most of the queries and supporting the
employees Nationwide in respect to SAP including nationwide training for employees on SAP platform.
November 2003 to June 2008 (4 Year & 8 Months): I served as Team Lead in Contract Review Department of Ovex Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. The department Contract Review was directly related to the warehouse, inventory, logistics and configuration. The basic goal is to deal with all the configuration orders or the customer owned products (Contractual Items) shipment. Main responsibilities included:
SAP R/3 SD & MM Modules • Order Status Checking, Order Tracking, Part lookup, Entering Notes/Changes to
Delivery, Inventory lookup, Creating Goods Issues, Canceling Goods Issues, Run Delivery Due List.
• Worked on 2 different modules of SAP R/3including Sales & Distribution and Material Management.
• A strong experience in making quotes and sales orders for different customers in SAP.
• Posting of delivery for the customer to ship the product from warehouse to customer.
• Executing different reports in SAP for different customers and for internal use such as ZOPO, ZBAC, and ZAVAIL etc.

• I was having a responsibility of a DCA (Document Control Administrator) for the department.
• Creation and updating of all the departmental documents for the purpose of ISO Certification of the company.
Jan 2002 to Apr 2003 (1 Year & 4 Months): I worked as an Accounts Officer in Nextel Communication (Pvt.) Ltd. The responsibilities included reconciliation of branch accounts, reconciliation of PTCL bills, liaison with external auditors, posting in General ledger, making of vouchers.
