Seals that seal rings made of S-FLON(PTFE) are combined with O-rings made of synthetic rubber. No stick slip even in low pressure and low speed due to small friction characteristics. As seal rings(resin) are hard and lacking in elasticity, sealing performance is inferior a little compared with U-packings. Be careful to handle seal rings as they are easy to be specially influenced by cracks, etc.

Most popular packing for hydraulic cylinders. Available for use for both pistons and rods. Available for mounting this packing in a solid groove. Possible to reduce the number of part items and conduct compact design. Effective in reducing cost.
KY-Packings [For pistons and rods]
Various sizes. Used for the various fields due to large section design. Conduct stable performance.

T-SNY-Packings[Exclusively for rods]
RN809
T-SGY-Packings[Exclusively for pistons]
RN812 Packings exclusively for pistons and rods compatible in grooves with SKY-Packings. Available for use at -40 to 100 degree C. Unnecessary to replace packings in the specifications of domestic and overseas cold districts. Compared with other U-packings, designed hard to cause stick slip. Laying stress on cold proof, rubber hardness is restrained. Be careful in use under the conditions of high pressure and high frequency.
GPY-Packings[Exclusively for pistons]
RN919Packings exclusively for pistons and rods, respectively, using wear proof material. Section sizes for diameter sizes are made larger than those of SKY-Packings. Durability has been improved. GPY-Packings for pistons are hard to cause damage brought about by back pressure, while GNY-Packings for rods have been improved in sealing performance for good elastic seal materials.

♦ The ES and ESV Chevron V-packing Sets are multi-component sets primarily used as replacementseals for existing and older equipment. They continue to be used for large rams where alterna-tive modern designs may not be available.
♦ The ES/ESV V-packing is a proven performer under extreme conditions of pressure and tempera-ture.
♦ Pockets of lubricant are formed along seal length enhance tribological conditions which lowerfriction and improve service life.
♦ Because of its rugged construction, it can be used effectively with poorer running surfaces.
♦ Our ES/ESV V-packing is fabric reinforced using our unique coiling techniques which enhanceoverall ruggedness and durability of the packing.
♦ Our Chevron V-packing is available in NBR (ES) or fluoroelastomer (ESV) for high temperatureapplications.

The ES and ESV V-packing sets are available in 3different versions:
Type A has 3 to 5 fabric intermediate ringscan can be installed in adjustable ornon-adjustable seal housings.
Type B has 3 to 5 fabric intermediate rings,one rubber-sprung support ring andare installed in non-adjustable sealhousings. Constant axial pre-tensions.
Type C has 2 - 4 fabric intermediate rings,one rubber intermediate ring and canbe installed in adjustable or non-adjustable seal housings. The rubberintermediate ring provides additionalsealing effect.
Type A and Type B can be supplied as endlessor open (cut) rings. Type C is always suppliedas endless rings.

Tolerances for each diameter are a function ofthe diameter size. Please see size listing fordimensions for each part. Please see “DesignTolerance” section for complete details onmachine tolerances.
The length of the lead-in chamfer “C” is criticalto successfully installing the seal withoutdamaging it in the process. The value for “C”is given for each seal on the following pagesand it is a function of the profile of the seal(dimension “B”).
The maximum allowable clearance gap is afunction of the system pressure and the profile(dimension “B”) of the seal. It should bedetermined using the highest operatingpressure the system will see. The value fordiameter D1 can be determined as follows:
