Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. He is considered one of the great masters of Romantic music.

1810 Born at Zelazowa Wola ; his family moves to Warsaw

1816 First piano lessons with his mother1817-1821- Lessons with Zywny and the first Polonaise

1826 enters Warsaw Conservatory

1832 1st Paris concert

1849 -October 30 Chopin’s funeral at the Church of the Madeleine with 3000-4000 invited guests ; buried at Pere Lachaise Cemetery
