There are many available solutions for slides in TEX.The most comprehensive introduction on how tomake slides (not only with TEX) can be found athttp://www.miwie.org/presentations, which is updatedvery frequently.

You are suggest trying some solutions by yourself to findthe most suitable for your slides.

This template is used to show the integration of differentTEX slide solutions. Also, I hope it is useful for you tomake a beautiful presentation with TEX quickly.

2 Enjoy pstricks via pdftricks

As we know, pstricks package is a powerful tool to drawgraphics via postscript language in TEX, but it cannot workwith PDFLATEX. pdftricks package is to partially solve thisproblem. Of course, such a solution is not complete andfar from prefect. You are suggested to transfer to otherTEX slide packages, such as prosper, if you want to usepstricks more fluently.

hooklee made some modifications on the original pdftrickspackage to solve some compatibility problems and makethe background transparent by default.

Note: you TEX system must be correctly configured to sup-port the mechanism of pdftricks package. For MiKTeX,you should ensure “write18 = enable ” occurs in thefile miktex.ini . Basic Methods

You can use a command of hyperref package to realizethe replay of a multimedia file. It is like the following:

\href{run:clock.avi}{Click here to run clock.avi}

Click here to run clock.avi

In fact, you can also use \href{run:...}{} to invokea program, such as Matlab for some demos.

A Powerful Method: multimedia Package

However, the above method does not support the func-tion of displaying the video within the pdf file itself,which is much more attractive for our audience. A pow-erful tool can help us to realize such a function: mul-timedia package, which is provided with beamer (an-other cool TEX slide package available at http://latex-beamer.sourceforge.net). For details on how to use thispackage, please see beamer ’s manual.
