Commissioners Evans and Wiebe joined staff at the Georgia Straight Alliance release

of its State of the Waterfront report.

March 23: Voices of Vancouver

City Hall

Chair Mackinnon, Commissioner Shum, and Vice Chair Evans joined Councillor Tim Stevenson

and presenters of a workshop for International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

March 28: Killarney Seniors Centre Tour

Commissioners Shum, Crawford, Wiebe, Kirby-Yung, Coupar, and Chair Mackinnon joined local

seniors, including advocate Lorna Gibbs, and project staff for a tour of the new centre.

April 4: SeeSawSeat Public Art

Sunset Community Centre

Chair Mackinnon spoke at the unveiling of SeeSawSeat at Sunset Park

and was joined by Commissioners Wiebe, Kirby-Yung, Shum, Evans,

Councillor Deal and artist Germaine Koh.

April 5: Cherry Jam

Vice Chair Evans and Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Director Linda Poole

welcomed guests at the Cherry Jam, the festival’s kick off event.

April 10: Honda Celebration of Light

Vice Chair Evans spoke at a news conference

where the competing countries were announced for this year’s firework spectacle.

She was joined by Commissioners Shum and Wiebe.

April 11: Kits Pool Tour

Commissioners Kirby-Yung, Shum, Evans, and Wiebe joined Aquatic Supervisor Sean Healy

and other staff for a tour of Kits Pool, which is currently being upgraded.

April 12: Humboldt Broncos Support

Commissioners Evans, Coupar, Kirby-Yung, Crawford, Wiebe, Shum, Chair Mackinnon and staff

donned jerseys in support of the Humboldt Broncos.

April 14: Britannia Renewal

at an open house for the Britannia Master Plan.

April 14: Vaisakhi Parade

President of Sunset Community Association, attended the Vaisakhi Parade.
