The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Cultural Coopeation Deparement, presents its compliments to the friepdly Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat.

The Ministry wishes to enclose herewith a circular issued from the Ministry of e . . Higher Education regarding the Omani Cultural and Scihtific Cooperation Scholt1rship Progarm offering scholarships for 2 Thai students during the ac·.ademic year 2018-'.2019. o~e (1) is full schol.-..ship and one (1) is exemption of fee only.

The Ministry has the honour to request to inform the concened autoriteis to nominate the suitable participants in accordance with conditions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman avails itself of this -opportunity to renew to the assurances of its highest consideration.

Directorate General of Scholarships

The Omani Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Scholarship Program offering to the brotherly and friendly countries, which is a significant factor in the human communication and cultural cooperation between the Sultanate and various countries· and the program is considered a main window for the world to overlook the Sultanate of Oman with its Cultural remoteness and its depth of history.

In this respect, the Ministry of Higher Education wishes to offer University scholarships to the brotherly & friendly counties, attached herewith are the following:-

1. List cif the countries proposed for Omani scholarships

2. Conditici~ for the acceptance to study within the program at the proposed higher education institutions are:

- Institute of Islamic Science 65% In higher secondary school certificate - Higher Technical College 75% In higher secondary school certificate - College of Applied Science 75% In higher secondary school certificate - College of Banking and Financial 70% In higher secondary school certificate

Candidate for Sultan Qaboos University Colleges should fulfill all requirements for the specialization for each program

Special Higher Education Institutions are required 80% in higher secondary school certificate.

(Addresses of government and private higher education institutions are enclosed herewith)

3. Enclose the proof of mark in the higher secondary/ higher education diploma certificate.

4. The candidates applying for the program of Arabic language in public or private higher education institutions should be an holder of minimum 80% marks in Arabic language.

Higher secondary (higher education diploma) certificates issued from outside the Sultanate of Oman to be equivalent with the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate, (enclose herewith qualification evaluation application form in Arabic and English to submit to the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate).

5 Scholarship application form to be filled in Arabic or English language.

6 Age of applicant should not exceed 25 on 1/10/2018

9. Monthly allow~ce of R0.200 will be given as pocket money for the expenses of a~commodation, transportation and food Free medical treatment in govemrne~t hospitals excluding teeth treatment and motor accident cases occurred by traffic offences and a return air ticket once a year. '

10. Students residing in the Sultanate will not be given the monthly allowance and yearly ticket.

11. Programme for study: a) Specialties in engineering. b) Specialties in administration and information system c) specialties an in language and literary

12. Scholarship will not include the medical and medical specialties

13. It is not allowed to change the Institution or progamme
