Sign & Awning Services was started in 1991 and has always called Fort Worth,

Texas home. Born from a service business, our focus is more complex products such

as extruded aluminum sunshades, canopies, tension structures and standing

seam roofing. We have been at our current 18,000 sq.ft. production

facility for over 15 years. As our company and our design services grew

we felt the need to add a division we call Architectural Fabrication, Inc.

We currently work with some of the biggest Architects, General Contractors

and Retailers in the United States.

InstallationNationwide installation and service is available for most of the

product line that we manufacture. We have multiple employee

installation crews and a network of qualified subs that we work

with. Over the past 20 years we have handled installation

and service from coast to coast.

Architectural Fabrication’s extruded aluminum sun control devices are

fabricated from a typical profile or custom to meet your design

and application requirements. Depending on the infill (airfoils,

“z” blades, flat tube, etc.) and it’s spacing and angle, our

sun controls can greatly reduce the sun’s

heat and help with energy conservation.

Architectural Fabrication’s sales group

(along with its design and engineering

departments) are eager to assist and help provide a quality, cost

effective solution for any sun control project. We have in-house designers

who work with Architects to make vision come to life. We then provide support

throughout the production and installation process. Whether welded or mechanically

fastened, our sun control devices are designed and fabricated by professionals

who’ve dedicated years to their craft.

We provide many services with our own forces, including design and VALUE

ENGINEERING, fabrication (welded or mechanically fastened), maintained

communication with the onsite superintendents,

and on time problem free installations. Our

employee installation crews are on time

and professional, our welders are

AWS certified, and we are a UL

listed sign shop. These in-house

capabilities allow Architectural

Fabrication to respond quickly to

any challenge presented.

Finish OptionsStandard & CustomMill Finish: standard extruded aluminum with welds or fasteners neatly finished

Anodize: Clear, Bronze, Champagne, Black

Prime & Paint: Available for our steel products that have been hot dip galvanized or nickel plated. All welds receive an extra coat of zinc-rich primer before a red oxide primer, and your choice of paint colors are applied.

Powder Coat: We provide powder coating with the help of our partners Spraylat, Tiger Drylac, Cardinal and Sherwin Williams. We are specialists at metallics! Warranties available up to 20 years. Coatings available to 8 mils.

Kynar® 500/Hylar® 5000: 2 & 3 coat finish options with warranties available up to 20 years; 2 coat minimum, 1.2 mils.; 3 coat minimum, 2.0 mils.

Architectural Fabrication uses primary quality aluminum extrusions to fabricate our sunshades and louvers. The quantities and types of scrap typically are of the following proportions: 30% pre-consumer content; 10% post-consumer content; 60% primary aluminum; 60% scrap aluminum consisting of 55% post industrial and 5% post consumer.
