Annoui1cenlet~fs 221 temporarily interrupted the publication of Erasmus. There is now a fair chance that it will reappear. Professor Jud needs moral support from outside the place of publication as much as he needs financial support from the usually meagre resources for academic publica- tions. He would like Erasmus to be associated with UNESCO so as to put it on a firmer basis and independent of political and administrative changes in Germany. Readers of the Hisror?, of European Ideas who do not know Erasmus may be inter- ested to be introduced to it and others to be informed of its present difficulties. I have been associated with Erasn7us for many years and Professor Jud has asked me to bring it to the notice of the English speaking world. Elfrieda T.
