e1- Safety standards.

The following standards, whichever the no st stringents, have been excerpted either from the APIRP 500 B or from the Safety Recommendations issued by the French Association of the Oil and Gas Ex-plorers and Producers:

Although the spirit of both reglementations does not differ very much, the API RP 500 B is res-tricted to the classification of areas for tlectrical Installations at drilling rigs and productionfacilities on land and off-shore, whereas the French Recommendations cover also disposition of openfires and engines.

There is also a Flopetrol policy, based on experience, to recommend that classified areas within awell testing set-up should not cross or overlap.
