Semester work, from one to 10 points, evaluated for separate

study module parts. For the theoretical part of the subject is given an exam, which

accounts for 70% of the control works, the practice and laboratory work rating – 30 %.

All parts are valued in marks. The final grade is determined by multiplying the individual grades from the weighting factor and their sum.

The final mark for the course is given during the examination having multiplied separate marks by weighting coefficient and summing up the products. The final mark assessment formula:

E = W1(A1x1 + A2x2 + A3x3 + A4x4+ A5x5+ A6x6+ A7x7+ A8x8+ A9x9+ A10x10) + W3(C1z1 + C2z2 + C3 z3) ,

where E – student‘s mark in ten-point scale W1 – assessment accumulated for credits during the semester, weighting coefficient, 0.3; W3 – assessment given for the exam during the examination session, weighting coefficient,

0.7; W1+ W3=1,0 A1, A2, …A10 – weighting coefficients of practical tasks to be carried out during the term,

0.1; x1, x2 – assessment of reference works; x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9 – assessment of laboratory work; x10 – assessment of homework; C1, C2, C3 – they passed the examination session, the task of weight ratios, 0.33; Z1 – first exam question assessment during the examination session; Z2 – second exam

question assessment during the examination session; Z3 – third exam question assessment during the examination session.

Assessment tools include: exam tickets, oral questions. Evaluation methods: control works, test sessions, homework report.

Research project annotation During the first week of semester presented for the student research paper tasks and

recommendations for this paper. Research paper topic - qualitative and quantitative analysis of pollution. The paper goal and objectives the student formulated by himself, depending on the

presented data in the task (emitted pollutants origin, character of the source position). The paper consists from the following parts: Introduction (problem definition, formulation of

objectives and targets), distribution and movement of the pollutants emitted from the manufacturing process in air; air pollution control techniques, inventory and requirement for the completion, air cleaning equipment, theoretical aspects of air treatment equipment, managerial, theoretical economic justification of the selected air-cleaning equipment based on the environmental impact assessment analysis, of greenhouse gas emissions monitoring requirements, description and application possibilities of the air pollution dispersion methods, pollution dispersion modeling in ground-level air results and their statistical evaluation.

Text of the draft must be not less than 60 p. The paper consists of five graphic drawings - two designed air cleaning equipment and the

distribution of pollutants concentrations in ground-level the air cross-section images (ZX, XY and XYZ (spatial) coordinates).

Prepared in accordance with the requirements of the leading teacher (there must be all items corresponding to the contents) research paper can be defended.

The semester is evaluated proportional criteria knowledge assessment system, using a ten-point rating scale, assessments by a cumulative points system for assessing student knowledge and skills and self-employment. Semester of work from one to 10 points for the assessment of an individual module of study.

Accounted for the theoretical exam at the time, which accounts for 70 % of the control job rating – 30 %.

The final grade is determined by multiplying the individual grades from the weighting factor and product aggregation.

Research project assessed separately as an independent student note the whole semester work.

Assessment 10 points measurement system. Course project grade is divided into three parts: the first part – the

explanatory Clarity – 20 %, the second part – the calculations and independent legal basis for analysis – 50 %, the third part – part of the graphic clarity, accuracy and relevance – 30 %.

Final notice of assessment is defined as: E = W1 (A1x1) + W3 (C1z1 + C 2 z 2 + C 3 z 3+ C 4 z 4 ) , where: E - The student's grade in accordance with the ten-point

Research project annotation The first semester week of the module teaching to give for students the

individual project tasks (for the course project). For students present the main details, relative economic and financial

indicators (the benefit and the capital, short-current assets and current liabilities, and so on.) depending on the company‘s products and its overall environmental condition.

The assessment of the environmental and economic-financial situation of the company, released a separate area that is chosen the implementation of environmental management in the world organizations and to adapt the implementation of the clean technologies in industry, energy and transport.

The students themselves to carry out the detailed technical literature and standards review.

During the exercise, the students their to adapt in the technical part of the course project.

The course project consists of an explanatory text and a graphical part, in which must the implementation of the environmental management system together with the cleaner production.

Students awarded an individual consultation with teacher’s hours. In the middle of the semester the mid-term checks of projects. The report of the course project place on the last week of the semester. 15

Environmental technologies

ECTS credits 7 A 10-grade scale is used to assess students’ knowledge and

abilities as well as their independent work. The fulfilled assignment(s) during the semester with emphasis

originality of ideas, application level of theoretical knowledge and the general order of the work makes 20% of the final assessment grade.

The intermediate assessment during the semester makes 40% of the final assessment grade.

The assessment during the exam session makes 40% of the final assessment grade.

Assessment methods of results The exam is “E”-type and is assessed by grade which is made from

three parts: E = W1x1+W2x2+W3x3 where E – grade in the 10-grade scale; W1 – weight score for the

assignment(s) during the semester; W1 = 0.2; W2 – weight score for the intermediate assessment during the semester; W2 = 0.4; W3 – weight score for the assessment during the exam session; W3 = 0.4.

W1+W2 +W3 = 1.00. x1, x2, x3 – grades for the assignment(s) during the semester, the

intermediate assessment and final assessment respectively using 10-grade scale.

The course project is assessed by a separate grade.
