Merci aux journalistes européens et du monde entier qui ont parlé des cinéastes français et de leurs œuvres tout au long de l’année. Merci à nos artistes qui nous ont soutenus en 2020. Vos généreux messages ont permis de transmettre votre passion pour le cinéma en salles, dans la presse et sur les réseaux sociaux du monde entier.Nos Rendez-vous du cinéma français à Paris s’insèrent dans la longue liste des festivals et marchés dont le format a radicalement changé. Notre manière de communiquer a dû s’adapter. Et, même si nous maîtrisons aujourd’hui les outils numériques mieux que jamais, nous ne souhaitons qu’une chose : revenir physiquement dans des endroits où l’échange de projets puisse se faire dans un dialogue plus immédiat. C’est pareil pour nos films. Nous leur souhaitons de pouvoir réinvestir les salles de cinéma le plus rapidement possible, dès que les règles sanitaires le permettront. L’architecte à succès Jeremy Angust est approché lors de son voyage à l’aéroport de Paris par une femme bavarde nommée Texel Textor. C’est une paria qui semble être à la recherche d’un public captif forcé d’écouter ses histoires étranges. Jeremy rate son vol à cause de Texel, et, une fois assis dans le salon de l’aéroport, il ne pourra plus se débarrasser de l’en-nuyeuse inconnue.
