En 2011, l’Association Française de Cliométrie (AFC) a poursuivi
son engagement pour le développement et la pérennisation des re-
cherches d’économie historique et d’histoire économétrique. Par les
publications tout d’abord… dans Cliometrica, dans la rubrique
‘Cliometrics’ de la revue Historical Social Research, ou encore dans
la Série AF ‘Histoire Economique Quantitative’ de la revue Economies
et Sociétés. Par la tenue, ensuite, du BETA Workshop annuel consa-
cré à la ‘Cliometrics of Crises: Past, Present, Future’. Fort de ces réa-
lisations passées, je souhaite désormais que 2012 puisse, une fois
encore, nous réunir et nous associer, afin de célébrer de nouveaux
succès, quelques publications et surtout de consolider notre envie
collective de faire progresser, grâce à l’AFC, en France et à l’étranger,
la connaissance dans le domaine de la cliométrie. Je pense tout par-
ticulièrement à la 8ème édition du BETA Workshop in Historical
Economics centrée sur la "Population Cliometrics and Unified Growth
Theory" ou encore à la session "New Data and New Methods of Time
Series Analysis in Cliometrics" que nous animerons lors du 16ème
World Economic History Congress à Stellenbosch en Afrique du Sud.
Dans cette attente, bonne et heureuse année à toutes et à tous !

Cet appel s’adresse à toutes celles et tous ceux qui s’intéressent à la cliométrie. Fondée en mai 2001 l’AFC "a pour objet d’en-courager, en France et à l’étranger, les travaux d’inspiration cliométrique, c’est-à-dire les recherches internationales d’histoire quantitative structurées par la théorie économique et informées par les méthodes statistiques et économétriques" (Article 2 des statuts de l'association : Objet, 31 mai 2001). La cotisation annuelle se couple avec une offre d’abonnement à la revue Cliometrica (Springer Verlag) au tarif préférentiel de 46€. Ce tarif comprend l’envoi des trois numéros "papiers" de 2012 ainsi que l’envoi d’un code personnel pour une consultation de la revue en ligne.
