OBJECTIVE: An entry-level job in Mechanical Engineering.

EDUCATION: Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Design Concentration GPA 3.39/4.00, May 2015, Worcester, MA

SKILLS: Computer: Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, DriveWorks Xpress, Mathcad, LabVIEW

Foreign Language: Intermediate Spanish, Beginner Danish

RELATED EXPERIENCE: CAD Designer: KettlePizza LLC, Groveland, MA; August 2013 – Present

Designed products using SolidWorks, such as attachments for the original KettlePizza pizza oven kit and Pro-Grate

pizza-grilling unit. Created CAD models and working assemblies of the Weber Q200 grill, Cuisinart All Foods

grill, and the standard Weber kettle grill.

Mechanical Designer: Sparton Technology Corporation, Hudson, NH; June 2012 – Present

Automated the production of CAD models and engineering drawings for NEMA 4X and 6P rated electrical

enclosures using SolidWorks and DriveWorks Xpress. Researched and designed a NEMA 6P rated submersible

electrical enclosure series that utilizes a robust tube frame, custom designed door hinges, and latches specific to this

unique application.

PROJECTS: Kinematic Tester for a Knee Replacement: Major Qualifying Project, WPI; September 2014 – April 2015

Research and design a mechanism that exhibits the angular displacement between the tibia and femur, angular

displacement of the femur swing, and accommodates a 3D printed full knee replacement. Includes conducting in-

depth background research, designing working SolidWorks models with kinematic analysis, constructing a working

prototype, and composing an organized, written report to aid the design of future iterations.

Motorized Dart Gun Analysis: Modeling and Analysis of Mechatronic Systems, WPI; January – March 2015

Modeled the transfer of effort (force, voltage, etc.) and flow (velocity, current, etc.) through the Dart Zone Scorpion

dart shooter using causal bond graphs. Also disassembled the device, gathered critical variable dimensions,

constructed free body diagrams of the various subsystems, determined the state variables, derived state equations,

and graphed them using Matlab.

Wind Turbine Design and Analysis: Design of Machine Elements, WPI; October – December 2014

Designed, analyzed, and created SolidWorks models of the low-speed shaft, tower, and bearings of a wind turbine

modeled after the Vestas V52 – 850 kW model. Analysis includes determining critical sections on the shaft, normal

and shear stresses at critical points, calculating von Mises effective stresses, determining shaft and tower

deflections, calculating loads on the bearings, and determining their number of cycles to failure.
