L’histoire de la marque commence en 2005 par la confection d’un sac dans les voiles d’un bateau familial, un « Farr 727 » et se développe sous l’impulsion d’entrepreneurs passionnés par la mer et la course au large.

Fin 2017, Nicolas Veto et Matthieu Bimbenet reprennent avec Anna Beyou, fondatrice, la barre de 727 Sailbags, aujourd’hui leader français du design en voiles recyclées et acteur incontournable de l’économie circulaire. La marque poursuit son aventure en partageant des histoires d’océans et des engagements, en transformant ce qui a navigué en objet désirable de mode et de décoration.

Implantée au coeur de la « Sailing Valley », à Lorient, l’entreprise emploie 29 salariés.

The brand’s history began in 2005 when a bag was made from the sails of a family boat, a “Farr 727”, The brand expanded rapidly, driven by its founders’ passion for the sea and for ocean racing.

At the end of 2017, Nicolas Veto and Matthieu Bimbenet, with the founder, Anna Beyou, took the helm of 727 Sailbags, now the French leader in recycled sailcloth design and a major player in the circular economy. The brand continues the adventure by sharing stories of oceans and remaining true to its commitment : transforming what has sailed the seas into a desirable fashionable and decorative object.

Located in the heart of “the Sailing Valley” in Lorient, the company employs 29 people.

À Lorient, dans notre atelier, nous recyclons et découpons toutes les voiles collectées. Nous confectionnons une grande partie de nos produits, ainsi que toutes les pièces sur-mesure. Nous travaillons également avec des ateliers protégés et des sous-traitants.

In our workshop in France, our artisans recycle, cut and transform the sails that we collect. We also work with sheltered workshops and subcontractors, particularly for clothing.
