    PRACTICAL EXAMINATION on Identication of

    Agriculture Related Specimens TO CLAIM SEAT

    UNDER AGRICULTURIST QUOTA*

    *Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota. Further,Agriculturist Quota is applicable only for Under Graduate courses detailed in Para c, d, e and f at page 13 & 14.Practical Examination will be conducted at Bidar, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Shimoga and Bangalore. In order to take

    practical examination students will have to enclose a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, Bangalore

    (Rs. 400/- for GM, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B / Rs. 200/- for SC/ST and Category-I candidates) and enclose the original DD along

    with CET lled Application form. Further, on the backside of the Demand draft, candidate has to write application

    number, name and place of practical examination where he/she likes to appear on 10.05.2013. (Application No. _____

    iMPorTANT PoiNTS rELATED To CoMMoN ENTrANCE TEST 2013AND ALLoTMENT oF SEATS

    PoiNTS To BE NoTED AND CoMPLiED Prior To ENTrANCE TEST

    1. The application form is a combination of both ICR and OMR concept. Candidates are required to ll the

    Application Form using blue or black ink ballpoint pen.

    2. All items given in the CET-2013 application form should be lled by the candidates invariably. No item should be

    left blank as incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.

    3. A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous

    years will not be eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2013. However, he / she

    is eligible to appear for CET-2013 for allotment of seats in any other discipline. Eg: If a candidate

    had selected Engineering seat during previous year, he / she will not be considered for allotment of

    seats in the same discipline. However he / she is eligible to appear for CET-2013 for selection of

    Medical / Dental / ISM&H / Architecture etc if he / she is eligible. Automatically the previous year selected seat

    gets cancelled, upon selection of a seat in a different discipline during the year.

    4. The information / particulars furnished by the candidates in their CET - 2013 application form will be deemed as

    Final and be the basis for further process. No change in any information furnished will be entertained.

    5. Before claiming eligibility for Government seats, make sure that you satisfy any one of the eligibility clauses

    detailed in Item 6 of Chapter I of the brochure. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the eligibility clauses

    will not be eligible for admission to Government seats.

    6. If the information furnished by the candidates in the application form or any other documents submitted by the

    candidates / parents are found to be false / incorrect, such candidates seat will be cancelled at any point of time

    during his course of study and criminal proceedings will be initiated by the Government against the candidate.

    7. Applicants who are wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants are required to appear for the Common Entrance Testfor admission to professional courses for the seats earmarked for them by the Government. ( Refer Item7(5) of

    Chapter I of the brochure.)

    8. The information furnished in the CET-2013 application form with regard to Caste / Category and Annual Income

    remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks / selection or allotment of a seat and no change will be

    entertained in future for any reason.

    9. Make sure that you have afxed yourLEFT HAND THUMB IMPRESSION within the space provided on theapplication form.

    10. Before submitting the lled application form to the college Principal / KEA, the candidates should take a photocopy

    of the lled application form and should keep it with them for all future reference / correspondence.

    11. While submitting the lled application form, do not enclose any paper / certicate / marks card along with thelled application form. There should be no enclosures attached to application form.

    12. If you have studied TEN full academic years continuously from 1st to 10th standard in Kannada Medium, then

    you are eligible to claim reservation under Kannada Medium quota.

    13. Candidates who have submitted their lled application form to the concerned schools / colleges within Karnatakawill get their Admission Tickets through the respective schools / colleges. The candidates who have submitted

    their lled application forms through Speed Post directly to KEA will get their Admission Tickets by Speed

    Post to the address furnished by them in their application form.

    14. If any candidate fails to receive the admission ticket within the stipulated time, then he / she has to contact the

    respective Principals of the institution / KEA ofce with a photocopy of the lled application form.

    DUriNG THE ENTrANCE TEST1. The Common Entrance Test will be held for TWO DAYS on four different sessions on 01-05-2013 and

    02-05-2013.

    2. The Kannada Language Test will be conducted only in Bangalore centres on 03-05-2013 in one session from11.30 am t 12.30 pm for both Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga Candidates.

    3. Candidates applying under Agriculturist Quota for Under Graduate Degree Programmes of Agriculture /Horticulture / Veterinary Universities will have to appear for Practical Test scheduled on 10th May 2013.

    4. The candidates must appear for Common Entrance Test in PCB subjects for admission to Medical / Dental / Indian

    System of Medicine and Homoeopathy courses and PCM subjects for admission to Engineering / Technology

    Courses conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. For admission to Architecture course candidates

    must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture and have

    to submit CET-2013 application form duly lled. Visit KEA website for List of institutions conducting NATA(National Aptitude Test in Architecture) in Karnataka. Last date t appea f NATA s 19-05-2013.

    5. The candidates should read the instructions printed on the OMR answer sheets before answering. The candidates

    have to mark the correct answers on the OMR answer sheets using BLUE OR BLACK INK BALL POINT PEN

    ONLY.

    6. After completion of each session of the test, the candidates must afx theirLEFT HAND THUMB IMPRESSION

    in the space provided on the bottom portion of OMR answer sheet before handing over the same to the room

    invigilator.

    7. After completion of each session of the test, the candidates will be allowed to carry replica of the lled OMRanswer sheet. Such replicas should be preserved for a period of one year.

    8. THERE WILL BE NO NEGATIVE MARKING IN RESPECT OF WRONG ANSWERS BUT MARKS WILL

    NOT BE AWARDED IN RESPECT OF MORE THAN ONE ANSWER INDICATED AGAINST A QUESTIONBY A CANDIDATE ON THE OMR ANSWER SHEETS.

    9. The mnmum passng maks f allHoranadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks

    in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to

    become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2013. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4th Standard)

    AFTEr ENTrANCE TEST

    1. The ANSWER KEY will be published within SEVEN days after the completion of the entrance test on the KEA

    website. The candidates / parents / lecturers, can le their objections, if any, within FIVE days in respect of any

    of the published answer key, along with all the supporting documents & justication. The objections may be sent

    through mail to KEA mail address: [email protected] Objections received by KEA will be placed before the

    Expert Committee, whose decision will be nal in this regard.2. The candidates who are claiming eligibility under special categories such as NCC, Sports, Anglo-Indian, CAPF,

    Defence and Ex-Defence must submit their special category documents to KEA ofce during ofce hours in

    person invariably on the dates notied against each Special category at Chapter III of Item 1 (A) of the brochure.

    The candidates who do not submit the special category certicates on the notied dates will not be considered for

    document verication and also for allotment of seats under the respective special categories.

    3. The regular students (fresher) appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual 2013 and Repeater students of Karnataka

    2nd PUC who have appeared during 2013, need not submit the qualifying examination marks card to KEA. However

    Repeater students of Karnataka 2nd PUC who have already passed the examination before 2013 and the students of CBSE,

    CISCE, 10+2, and other boards who are appearing 12th standard examination during 2013 and passed the examination

    before 2013 must send a photocopy of their qualifying examination marks card (on which the CET Number is boldlywritten) either in person or only through Speed Post to the KEA, Bangalore after completion of CET - 2013 on or before

    19-05-2013. However, the candidates who submit photocopy of their QE marks cards after19-05-2013 will get their

    ranks before the commencement of the allotment of seats process or whenever they submit the Q. E. marks card.

    4. The rank list for Medical and Dental courses will be prepared and published only on the basis of marks obtained

    by candidates in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. The candidates who secure 50% (GM) of marks

    in PCB subjects in the qualifying examination and also in the Common Entrance Test will only be eligible for

    assignment of Medical / Dental ranks. However, the marks in PCB subjects in both Q. E. and CET will be 40% in

    case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B categories. Further, the candidates (GM) who

    secure less than 50% of marks taken together in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test and less than 40% in

    case of SC, ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B categories, will not be awarded any rank for admission to Medical /

    Dental courses.

    5. The rank list for Indian System of Medicine & Homoeopathy courses will be published only in respect of

    candidates (GM) who secure 50% of marks taken together in PCB subjects in the qualifying examination; (40%

    in case of SC, ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B category candidates) irrespective of marks secured in PCB subjects

    in the Common Entrance Test.

    6. The rank list for Engineering & Technology courses will be published only in respect of candidates (GM) who

    secure 45% of marks taken together in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination, (40% in case of SC, ST,

    CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B category candidates) irrespective of marks secured in PCM subjects in the Common

    Entrance Test.

    7. The rank list for Architecture course will be published only in respect of candidates who have studied Mathematics

    as one of the optional subjects and secured an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (GM) in the Qualifyingexamination (45% in case of SC, ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B and candidates, person with disability of mental

    retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia) category candidates) and 40% marks in NATA (including SC,

    ST, CAT 1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B categories. Last date t appea f NATA s 19-05-2013. The candidate who

    wants to select only Architecture seat need not to appear for Common Entrance Test, but they have to submit the

    CET2013 lled application form without fail within the specied time. NATA scorecard should be submitted to

    this ofce along with a copy of the 2nd PU / 12th Std. examination marks card.

    8. The candidates are requested to verify their qualifying examination marks printed on the result sheets without

    fail, if there is any discrepancy with reference to qualifying examination marks, the same should be brought to the

    notice of this ofce immediately for assignment of new ranks, if any.

    9. If the qualifying examination marks of the candidates get changed due to revaluation or re-totaling then the candidates

    are required to submit a copy of the changed marks card to the KEA for assignment of revised / new rank.10. All the candidates (GM, SC, ST Category I and OBC category candidates) must compulsorily produce the

    STUDY CERTIFICATE obtained from the head of the institution where the candidate has passed the 10th

    standard / SSLC examination, by mentioning the Standards, Academic years, Mother Tongue as per the admission

    register of the institution. (Refer Appendix V for study certicate proforma)

    11. Candidates belonging to reserved categories should submit caste / income certicate as the case may be, issued by

    the Concerned Tahasildar in Form D for SC, ST, in Form E for Category-I and in Form F for 2A, 2B, 3A and

    3B categories, without fail during the verication of original documents at the Helpline Centres.

    12. Please read the refund and forfeiture conditions detailed in this brochure carefully.

    13. KEA will publish on its website all the details of candidates who are allotted seats under reserved

    category in Medical, Dental, ISM & H, Engineering, Architecture and Under Graduate courses offered byAgriculture / Horticulture / Veterinary Universities, such as candidates name, fathers name, category under

    which seat allotted, annual income of the parent etc., after the Casual Vacancy Round.

    14. A candidate may have option to select Medical / Engineering seat in other boards like AICTE, AIIMS, COMED-K

    and KEA etc. In case such candidate wishes to conrm the seat selected from other boards then such candidate

    who has also been allotted a seat through KEA has to surrender the seat allotted by KEA before commencement

    of Casual Vacancy Round seat allotment, failing which it may amount to blocking of seat and Government may

    initiate both civil and criminal action against such candidates.

    15. If a candidate decides to surrender the seat, he / she has to surrender the seat only to KEA, merely not reporting

    to the selected college should not be presumed by the candidate that he / she has surrendered the seat to KEA.

    16. The candidates who claim seat under rural category will have to obtain a rural study certicate from the respective

    school / high school issued by the head of the institution which should be countersigned by concerned Block

    Educational Ofcer (BEO) as per format shown at page 77.

    17. General merit candidates who claim seat in rural category should also submit a income certicate issued from the

    concerned Tahasildar along with the rural study certicate, as per format shown at page 77.

    18. The candidates who have studied in the areas mentioned in Appendix III are not eligible to claim rural category

    seat. However, if the place where the candidate had studied from 1st to 10th standard had been declared as a rural

    area at the time of his / her studies, he / she will be eligible under rural quota, even though the same place has been

    declared as urban area later.

    19. No requests for Mutual Transfer of seats will be entertained by KEA at any point of time.

    20. All the admissions / allotments made to and by the colleges shall be subject to approval by the concerned

    University. Admissions for Medical / Dental disciplines through CET-2013 will be subject to the directions that

    may be issued by the Honble Supreme Court of India in Transferred Cased (c) No. 101 of 2012 and other related

    matters pending before it.

    WHAT iS NEW THiS yEAr?

    Brochure cum Application Form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the state ofKarnataka where the students are pursuing 2nd PUC or 12th standard. The students have to collect the Brochure

    cum Application form from the concerned schools / colleges by paying an amount of Rs.650/- by cash (Rs.500/-

    for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-I) or by sending the amount through NEFT transaction

    to Account No. 878333780 with NEFT / IFSC Code IDIB000M010 at the Indian Bank, Malleswaram Branch,

    Bangalore (UTR number for other than Indian Bank branches and journal number for Indian Bank branches).

    The copy of the NEFT transaction should be submitted to the college for having transferred the amount. Studentsand Colleges need to keep record of UTR Number as proof for having remitted the prescribed fee through NEFT.

    From this year students taking up CET-2013 examination will also be eligible for admission to 1st year Degree

    Courses as detailed below:

    The details and the eligibility criteria and basis for generation of rank for these courses is as detailed in

    page 13 & 14.

    KEA will allot the seats ONLINE in the order of merit and based on the priority of options obtained from thecandidates. Candidates have to enter the options of their choice through internet either through the Helpline

    Centres established by KEA across the state or on their own arrangements. Candidates will have the choice

    to enter as many numbers of options as they desire. Candidates may note that there will be only three rounds

    for allotment of seats and therefore of their choice before entering their options in each round. Please read

    page 41 to 70 for more details.

    Verication of documents will be done in all the 13 notied Helpline Centres across the State after declaration

    of merit list. Candidates have to verify their documents in person in any of the Helpline Centres as per the

    notied schedule. Only upon verication of documents and issue of verication slip, candidate will be allowed

    to enter their options online. The candidate also has a provision to take a print out in each of the three rounds

    permitted. Every candidate shall be given high security user ID and Password which the candidate then hasto login and change the password as per his / her choice. The details of centres will be made available on the

    website http://kea.kar.nic.in.

    The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks

    in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to

    become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2013. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4th Standard)

    The information furnished in the CET-2013 application form with regard to Caste / Category and Annual Income

    remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks / selection of a seat and no change will be entertained

    in future for any reason.

    The Government in its Order No. SaKaE 104 BCA 2011, Bangalore Dated 06-02-2012, has enhanced the annualincome limit from ` 2.00 Lakhs to 3.5 Lakhs per annum for claiming reservation benet. The candidate and

    his / her fathers mothers / Guardian whose Gross Annual Income is below ` 3.50 Lakhs are eligible to

    claim benet of reservation under 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories. The said order is hosted on KEA website

    The AICTE has introduced a Supernumerary Quota in all Engineering Colleges for the year 2013-14. 5% of theseats in each college and in each course will be reserved as Supernumerary Quota. This quota is over and above

    the seat matrix issued by the Government. For Example, if there are 120 seats in Computer Science in a particular

    college, the Supernumerary quota for Computer Science in that particular college will be 6 seats. Therefore the

    total intake in that college for computer science will be 126. All candidates whose parental income is less than

    ` 4.50 Laths per annum will be eligible for allotment of supernumerary quota. The tuition fee prescribed by

    the Government in that particular college will be waved off. The candidate has to pay the other fees only. ThisSupernumerary quota is not available for Architecture Course and courses offered in 2nd shift Engineering

    colleges. The candidates including General Merit are eligible for allotment of seats under Supernumerary quotaif their parental annual income is less than ` 4.50 Lakhs.

    The Government of Karnataka established Common Entrance Test Cell in the year 1994 for conducting of Entrance

    Test and to determine the merit of the candidates for admission to Professional courses such as Medical, Dental,

    Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy, Engineering / Technology & Architecture courses.

    To expand the activities of the CET Cell, the Government by order No. ED. 212 TEC 2006 dated

    20-12-2006 has converted the Common Entrance Test Cell in to an autonomous body Registered under Societies

    Registration Act 1960 called Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

    1. iNTroDUCTioNThe Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2013 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for

    admission of Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to the First year or First semester of

    full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology

    courses and Architecture course, in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional EducationalInstitutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2013-14.

    Applicants for CET-2013 are also eligible to apply for B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc

    (Forestry), B.Sc. Ag (B.Tech), BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tecg (Dairy

    In order to obtain admission to any of the professional courses through KEA, a candidate must appear for the Common

    Entrance Test, which will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore (Herein after referred to

    3. WHo CAN APPLy?

    a) For Medical / Dental courses : A candidate who has passed the second year Pre-University or 12th standardor equivalent examination (herein after referred to as the Qualifying Examination or Q. E. in short) with

    Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained anaggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Q. E. and who has securednot less than 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common EntranceTest (herein after referred to as CET) is eligible for admission to Medical and Dental courses. 40% of marks in

    both Q. E. and CET in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC Category candidates.

    Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common EntranceTest, the Medical / Dental rank list will be prepared and published for admission to Medical and Dental courses.

    b) For Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy courses: A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Physics,Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregateminimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Q. E. is eligible for admission toAyurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses. 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST,

    CategoryI and OBC Category candidates. Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in both Common Entrance

    Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, the ISM and H rank list will beprepared and published separately for admission to Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses.

    Further, the candidates seeking admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda /Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy &Yoga courses, should have completed the age of Seventeen Years as on 31 st December of 2013.

    c) For admission to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agriculture Biotech, Horticulture andBachelor of Homescience courses :Acandidate who has passed the Q. E. with Physics, Chemistry and Biologyas optional subjects.

    Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in both Common EntranceTest and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, common rank list will be prepared

    d) For admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry course : A candidate who has obtained anaggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects in Qualifying Examination.(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

    Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the Common EntranceTest, the B.V.Sc & A.H. rank list will be prepared and published for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses.

    e) For admission to Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science and Technology,Bachelor of Fishery Science, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation courses :Acandidate who has passed the Q.     g) For Engineering / Technology courses: A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Physics and Mathematics

    as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science asoptional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45%

    marks in the optional subjects in the Q. E. is eligible for Engineering / Technology courses. 40% of marks in

    Q. E. in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC Category candidates. Provided that, the marks obtained by the

    candidate in Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science in the Q. E., will be considered in place

    of Chemistry, in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for required aggregate percentage, only for the

    purpose of determination of eligibility and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of Engineering

    / Technology courses.

    Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in both Common

    Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, the Engineering rank list

    will be prepared and published.

    h) For Architecture course : A candidate who has passed the Q. E. with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects

    and secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all subjects in Q. E is eligible for admission to Architecture

    course. 45% of marks in the case of SC, ST, Category-I, OBC candidates, and person with disability of mental

    retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia).

    Provided that, a candidate should also appear and secure a minimum of 40% marks in NATA (including SC,

    ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates as per THE COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE IN ITS LETTER

    NO. CA/ 5/ACADEMIC-NATA/DATED 20-03-2008) conducted by the Council of Architecture. The last date to

    appear for NATA is 19-05-2013. The candidates should submit the photocopy of the NATA SCORE CARD along

    with 12th std. marks card by mentioning the CET number on or before 19-05-2013 to KEA either in person or

    through Speed Post.

    Based on the performance of the candidates in both Qualifying Examination and NATA, by taking the marks inequal proportions the Architecture rank list will be prepared and published.

    NOTE : Candidates who do not pass in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and candidates who do

    not possess the academic eligibility detailed above for various professional courses, will not be eligible to be

    considered for allotment of seats in the respective courses.

    A candidate who passes in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and later withdraws one or more subject

    for reappearing in the qualifying examination for bettering his performance will also not be considered for

    allotment of seats in the regular round and will be treated as a supplementary candidate.

    WHAT iS NATA?

    National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA is an All India level entrance examination conducted by the Council of

    Architecture for 200 marks, for admission of candidates to First year of ve-year full time B. Arch. Degree course.

    The Architecture seats in Government, Aided and Un-aided institutions of the State are offered ONLY to the candidates who

    have appeared for NATA and who have obtained the prescribed minimum marks in both Qualifying Examination and NATA.

    Therefore, all the candidates who want to be considered for allotment of Architecture seats, should compulsorily appear for

    NATA, and should obtain a minimum of 40% marks including SC, ST, Category-I and OBC category candidates in NATA

    (In other words one has to secure a minimum of 80 MARKS OUT OF 200). Visit website for LIST OF INSTITUTIONS

    The SC / ST/Category-I / OBC eligibility criteria is applicable to persons of Karnataka origin who are claiming

    eligibility for Government seats under clauses (a), (b), (f), (h), (j), (k) (l) and (o) and the same is not applicable to

    clauses (c), (d), (e), (g), (i), (m) and (n) of Item - 6 of Chapter I.

    Not only a candidate who has passed the qualifying examination with requisite marks but also a candidate who is

    appearing for the Q.E. and expecting the results is eligible to apply for the Common Entrance Test 2013.

    Students appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual 2013 need not submit their Q. E. marks card to the KEA, as it

    will be obtained directly from the Department of PUE. However, all other students who have passed 12th standard

    examination such as CBSE, CISCE, 10+2, from other boards (including J & K) before 2013 and who are appearingfor 2013 annual exam must COMPULSORILY send a photocopy of their 12th standard marks card by mentioning

    their CET Number to KEA. Repeater students of Karnataka 2nd PU also should submit their photocopy of the

    marks card on or before 19-05-2013. Otherwise, the results of such candidates will be withheld for want of Q. E.

    Marks. Intermediary ranks / Spot ranks will be assigned in respect of with-held candidates only after submission of

    photocopy of the Q. E. marks card. See box at Page - 37 about intermediary ranks / Spot ranks / ranks ending with

    G55, etc.

    After the publication of the CET - 2013 results, the candidates whose Q. E. marks are changed due to revaluation /

    retotalling, should immediately produce the revised marks card / statement of marks obtained from the Department

    of PUE/ Other boards in person only, to the KEA for getting the new ranks, if any.

    NoTE:1. The candidates are requested to verify their qualifying examination marks printed on the result sheets without fail,

    if there is any discrepancy with reference to qualifying examination marks the same should be brought to the notice

    of this ofce immediately for assignment of fresh ranks.

    2. The moment a new rank is assigned to candidates due to variation in Q. E. marks (whether increase or decrease),

    the previous rank of such candidates will stand cancelled and the candidates will not have any claim either on the

    previous rank or on the seat selected on the basis of previous rank, if any. Such candidates should select seats only

    RESERVATION OF SEATS

    Admission to the Farm Universities is made subject to reservation of seats for:

For both Agriculturist and general quota verticalreservation is given as per the existing reservation policy of Government of Karnataka i.e. reservation shall bemade in favour of candidates belonging toSchedule caste, Schedule tribes and other Backward Communities(OBC) asnotied b the Government of Karnataka under categories: Categor-1, 2A, 2B 3A,3B in accordancewith the Government order No. SWL 251 BCA 94 Bangalore dated31-1-1995 and as amended from time totime, the seats of which will be lled throughonline counselling b KEA.

    Note:Candidates claiming reservation underAgriculturist quota i.e., Agriculturist or children of Agriculturistincluding Agricultural labourer, should furnish the Certicate duly certied by the Revenue Tahsildar of the areaafxing the signature, seal and date in the application format itself. In case of candidates whose parents draw

However, they can apply to the Indian Council ofAgricultural Research, New Delhi or Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi in case of B.VSc. AH. Theyhave to submit a separate application as and when called by ICAR, New Delhi/VCI New Delhi and take All

    b) Candidates belonging to Foreign Nationals category shall send their application through Indian Council

    4. HoW To FiLL THE APPLiCATioN ForM?

    The application form, which is common to all the candidates for admission to professional courses through KEA, is kept

    in this brochure. The candidates should ll the application form legibly using a BLUE or BLACK INK BALL POINT

    PEN in capital letters only. Before lling the original application form, the candidates are advised to take two or three

    photocopies of the original application form and practice on them in the prescribed manner.

    The application form is a combination of both ICR and OMR concept. Candidates are required to ll the application formusing blue or black ballpoint pen and also for few items candidates are required to ll and shade the respective circles of

    item. For the benet of the candidates, item-wise instructions are given against each item regarding writing the item and

    writing and shading the items. Wherever CODES are given, ll the boxes in the application form with the appropriate

    codes only:

    PLEASE NoTE: The lled application form submitted by the candidates will be scanned as it is. The details in the

    application form will be the candidates data for all further processing in the KEA computers. Therefore, the candidates

    NOTE: All the candidates who are appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual 2013 should compulsorily write

    15. Complete Postal Address: Candidates should carefully write their complete postal address within the box provided

    Code should be written compulsorily.

    16. Candidates Photograph: All the Candidates have to Paste RECENT (Taken within the last three months) passportsize photograph within the space provided on the application form USING GUM. The photograph should not

    cover the signature area below it. Do not staple or pin the photograph, as the scanner will reject the stapled

    actual candidate present during verication / obtaining of admission order, he / she will not be permitted for

    25. Appearance in the previous Common Entrance Tests: If you have appeared for the Common Entrance Tests

    conducted by KEA (CET Cell) and selected a seat during the previous years, then write the allotment of seats

    particulars such as Year of appearance, CET number, Old PU Student Number, Reason for Cancellation at a later

    Certicate from the Principal where the candidate is presently studying and produced at the time of verication of

    NoTE: The candidates who have obtained a seat in the previous years in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell)

    After lling the application form, the candidates and parents should afx their COMPLETE signature in the

    declaration on the backside of the application form.

    application forms from the students of their respective institutions by verifying whether the candidate has written his /
