Europe Salary forecasts are typically lower than last year, reecting troubled economic times in Europe. Greece and Ireland are unsurprisingly the
hardest hit. Fast growing economies like Turkey and Russia buck the trend.
North AmericaLike other developed markets North America has relatively low predicted salary growth and predictions have remained stable over the past three
years.
Pacic Salary predictions mirror those in
other developed markets. The average predicted rise has not
changed in the region in the past three years.
AsiaOver the past ve years, Asia’s fast
growing markets have consistently oered high pay rises. The biggest
surprise this year is China where the war for talent has led to a 1.1%
increase on last year’s forecast despite slower economic growth. As would be
expected, the more developed markets predict lower rises with the
lowest in economically stagnant Japan.
Latin AmericaHigh ination is fuelling the world’s
highest salary increases in Argentina and Venezuela. Lower salary rises in
the rest of the region reect economic growth.
Middle East / Africa Salary forecasts are high by European
standards but low by emerging standards, reecting economic
growth. The percentage pay rise has dropped since last year in most
countries. Egypt, unsurprisingly, has seen the biggest change oering a
5.1% increase compared to 10% this time last year.

Prévisions d’augmentations salariales 2014 : Une tendance à deux vitesses.
Croissance forte...
