    How to Save GPS File into Microsoft Streets & Trips

    1) Download & Install Freeware GPS EasyGPS

    2) Connect GPS to Computer

    3) Download and save file as GPX format

    4) Import GPX file in streets and trips (On version 2010 or later, Click Data->Import GPX)

    5) Or open in excel as “Read Only” Workbook (file->open (change file type filter to “All Files”) At error message click “Yes”, At “Open XML” window, choose “As a read-only workbook”) Once file is open, delete all columns except “/wpt/@lat”, “/wpt/@lon” and “/wpt/name”

    Saving a Data Point in GPS

    1) Press and Hold “Enter Button”

    2) You can then change the name of the point by… however you are limited to 8 characters. (I leave mine as numbers. I then have a spread sheet that correlates to name)

    1) Tap the screen and a popup menu will come up

    2) Tap “save”

    This results in 5x2 or 10 possible sizes.On this camera, the settings I use are M1/Fine which results in a 6 MP picture or 2816x2112.I could print this at 9.38”x7.04” (Rule of thumb: divide resolution by 300 (2816/300=9.38” & 2112/300=7.04”)
