Chers membres et collegues

C' est avec joie que nous vous avons accueillis a Lyon du 17 au 21 juin 2004, a I' occasion du cinquieme Congres international de l'lnternational Carnivorous Plant Society (ICPS). Nous esperons que vous avez trouve de nombreuses communications interessantes et de multiples occasions de discussion et de debats. Le volume que vous avez entre les mains constitue les actes de ce cinquieme Congres et contient les articles ou seulement les resu­mes pour certains, issus des communications presentees lors de ce congres.

Dionee, en tant que premiere association fran~aise d'amateurs de plantes carnivores, et le Jardin botanique de Lyon, possesseur d'une des plus importantes collections de plantes carnivores de France, se devaient d'offrir aux passionnes fran~ais I' occasion d'accueillir le prestigieux Congres de l'ICPS. Cela fut possible grace a I' aide et au soutien de nombreuses personnes.

Nous tenons tout d'abord a remercier tousles membres du bureau de l'ICPS, et notam­ment Jan Schlauer et John Brittnacher, pour la confiance qu'ils nous ont temoignee en acceptant notre candidature.

Un grand merci egalement ala ville de Lyon qui, a travers son adjoint Gilles Buna, a soutenu activement ce projet, tant au niveau financier que logistique en mettant le maxi­mum de moyens techniques et humains a Ia concretisation de ce projet.

Ce congres n'aurait pu avoir lieu sans le soutien financier de Ia Region Rhone-Alpes et des magasins Botanic. Qu'ils soient chaleureusement remercies pour leur aide.

Enfin, nous tenons a remercier vivement les animateurs et membres benevoles de Dionee qui, par leur enthousiasme et leur energie, ont permis Ia tenue de ce grand rassem­blement international.
