Le programme prévoit
l’intégration de partenaires et
prestataires de service utiles
à ces activités ainsi que des
plateformes technologiques.
Le site accueille déjà 9
locataires dans la pépinière
Laënnec et deviendra la tête
de réseau du “Cancéropôle
Lyon Rhône Alpes”.

est une initiative du Grand
Lyon, pour accompagner le
secteur à fort potentiel des
biotechs et sciences de la vie.
Located in one of the largest hospital-university centres in Europe, BIOPARC Lyon is an international-scale project, and a major asset in making Lyon one of the top 5 “clusters” in Europe for life sciences.As it is intended to further Research and Development in the area of health products, it will welcome start-up or consolidated companies and R&D divisions of companies in the industry, in the heart of one of the biggest scientific and hospital concentrations in Europe. It is also planned to integrate high added value partners and service providers catering for those activities, as well as technological centres.

The site currently numbers 9 companies in the Laënnec Incubator and will lead the “Cancéropôle Lyon Rhône Alpes” (Lyon Rhône Alpes Cancer Centre) network.
The whole Lyon BIOPARK is an initiative of the Greater Lyon, to support the high potential area of biotechnology and life sciences.

IN THE HEART OF LYONLyon BIOPARK is directly connected to the ring road (Vinatier Gate) as well as to the A43 motorway (Lyon/Grenoble). Thus, it is very close to the Lyon-Saint Exupéry International Airport and to Lyon-Bron Business Airport.Due to its location in the heart of the City, it is less than 15 minutes from the Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon Perrache TGV stations and Saint Exupery.It is accessed by the tramway and subway, which stop right in front of the doors to Lyon BIOPARK and connect it directly to the city centre.

2004LA PÉPINIÈRE D’ENTREPRISES LAËNNEC Dédiée aux jeunes entreprises
de biotechnologies, la pépinière
Laënnec a pris place depuis
février 2004 dans l’ancienne
caserne de la Buire réhabilitée
à l’entrée de BIOPARC LYON.
Les entreprises y sont d’ores
et déjà présentes, sur près de
60% de la surface totale, soit
2 100 m2 shon.

LYON RHÔNE-ALPES CANCER CENTRE Lyon BIOPARK is one of the main lines of growth of the Lyon Rhône-Alpes Cancer Centre. Its role is to organise research and boost the health industry, with a view to improving cancer prevention and patients’ quality of life. It will rely on the assets and complementarities of Lyon and the Region in the area of basic and clinical research, epidemiology and on the potential of the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
2004THE LAËNNEC COMPANY INCUBATOR Dedicated to start-up biotechnology companies, the Laënnec incubator has settled down since February 2004 in the old Buire army barracks at the entrance of the LYON BIOPARK. Companies are already based there, covering almost 60 % of the total surface area, i.e. 2 100m2. Seven firms established in the Laënnec incubator: NUCLEIS, ONCODESIGN, THEMIS, THERALYS, TRANSAT, ERYTECH PHARMA, HIKMA BIOTECH, as well as 2 structures: the LYON RHÔNE-ALPES CANCER CENTER and a CEEI NOVACITÉ branch.The incubator will in the future house a dozen start-up companies in the areas of bio-pharmaceutical research, molecular biology and medical imagery. It thus complements a range of real estate property dedicated tolife sciences.

la construction de 3 bâtiments
de laboratoires et de bureaux
associés représentant environ
18 000 m2, 10 000 m2 de
plate-formes technologiques
ou de halles techniques, un
pôle de vie et de services
de 2 500 m2 qui renforcera
la qualité de vie du site
(restaurant, salles de réunion,
gestion collective du site)
Pour préserver la sécurité et
la confidentialité des activités,
le site sera entièrement clos
et l’axe principal muni d’un
contrôle d’accès à son entrée.
BIOPARC Lyon sera réalisé
dans le respect d’un cahier
des charges paysager et
architectural qui valorisera le
site urbain et s’alignera sur
les standards mondiaux des
Bioparcs.

2007-2011REAL ESTATE PROGRAMME PROSPECTS The next steps of the Lyon BIOPARK will include : Erecting 3 lab and related office buildings providing 18 000 m2 in all, 10 000 m2 of technological centres or technical space, a 2 500 m2 life science and service centre reinforcing the sites quality of life (restaurant, conference rooms, collective site management)
2006 THE FIRST BIOPARK PROGRAMMEThe 2nd phase in the LYON BIOPARK programme involves erecting a 6 000 m2 building for labs and related offices and a 4 500 m2, 111 room tourist residence. The buildings will be delivered in the second half-year of 2006.The programme is designed to meet the needs of life sciences companies : suited real estate with all conveniences required for research work, with full flexibility and modularity.Special attention is given to the implementation of sustainable growth principles.
