Smart city : Issy-les-Moulineaux a accueilli

des étudiantes de Stanford

Dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec l’ISEP, l’école d’ingénieurs du numérique, la Ville d’Issy-les-Moulineaux a accueilli pendant deux mois deux étudiantes de la prestigieuse Université californienne de Stanford pour leur offrir une meilleure connaissance de la Smart City mais aussi de la communication numérique et institutionnelle.

Ville à la pointe du numérique, Issy-les-Moulineaux a noué un partenariat avec l’ISEP, installé sur son territoire. L’occasion de coopérer avec des groupes étudiants sur différents enjeux, notamment dans le domaine du numérique.

Dans ce cadre, Issy a accueilli deux étudiantes venues de Stanford, effectuant une partie de leur troisième année d’études à l’ISEP. Située au cœur de la Silicon Valley, Stanford est l’un des établissements les plus prestigieux au monde. Il compte parmi ses anciens élèves des prix Nobel et de nombreux entrepreneurs comme les fondateurs de Cisco, Google ou encore HP.

L’Université a choisi l’ISEP pour accueillir le volet français de son programme « Bing Overseas Studies ». Elle reçoit chaque année environ 110 étudiants américains qui effectuent un stage en alternance de deux mois. En parallèle, des étudiants français sélectionnés par l’ISEP effectuent des stages de recherche dans un laboratoire d’ingénierie sur le campus de Stanford.

La Ville a reçu Grace Dong, étudiante en troisième année dans le domaine des systèmes symboliques avec une spécialité en communication, design et informatique. À l’occasion de son stage, elle a participé à la conception de la version anglaise du site issy.com et à l’identité internationale de la Smart Issy.

Issy a également accueilli Jacqueline Ennis, en troisième année, qui étudie le domaine des systèmes symboliques avec une spécialisation en intelligence artificielle. Elle a apporté son soutien pour améliorer sa stratégie de traitement des données en open data dans le cadre de « PoliVisu ». Il s’agit d’un projet de trois ans co-financé par la Commission Européenne, pour accompagner les transformations par le Big Data des politiques publiques de transports.

PoliVisu rassemble une quinzaine d'acteurs publics et privés issus de six pays européens, dont la Ville d’Issy-les-Moulineaux, via Issy Media.

Smart city: Issy-les-Moulineaux hosts Stanford students

In the framework of a partnership with ISEP, the Paris School of Digital engineers, the City of Issy-les-Moulineaux has hosted, for a couple of months, 2 students of the prestigious Stanford University for a training on the job on Smart City, digital and institutional communication.

City well known for its digital revolution, Issy-les-Moulineaux has an ongoing partnership with ISEP, having an important part of its premises in the City’s heart. This collaboration represents also an opportunity to cooperate with groups of students on different fields, including digital development.

In this framework, Issy has hosted 2 students from Stanford, completing a semester of their third year of study in Paris Region. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Stanford is one of the world most prestigious universities. It counts within its old students various Nobel prizes and various entrepreneurs of world level, such as the founders of Cisco, Google and Hewlett Packard.

The university has chosen ISEP to host the French version of their « Bing Overseas Studies » program. It hosts about 110 American students per year and most of them has an internship of the duration of two months during their Paris experience. On the other side, some French students of ISEP are selected to have research internships in the Stanford Campus Labs.

Issy has received Grace Dong, a third-year student in Stanford in the domain of Symbolic Systems

with a specialization in Communication, Design and Computer Science. During the period spent in

Issy, Grace has participated to the conception of the English version of the issy.com website and

the International promotion of the local Smart City program.

The second student was Jacqueline Ennis, a third year first generation student, who studies Symbolic Systems with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence. She has worked to improve the City strategy on data, mainly in the framework of the project « PoliVisu ». This is a research project, co-

funded by the European Commission, focused on the use of big data for collaborative policy experimentation in the mobility field.

PoliVisu connects fifteen public and private partners from six European countries, including the City of Issy-les-Moulineaux, through Issy Media.
