Le raccordement des câbles sur les SOCLES Amphenol Air LBs'effectue par JONCTIONS RAPIDES, par SOUDURE ou parLANGUETTES CLIPS.

- Par JONCTION RAPIDES :Les socles reçoivent des CONTACTS DOUILLESamovibles du type à sertir.

- Par SOUDURE :La face de jonction est munie de FUTS à souder lescâbles, ou de BROCHES à souder sur circuitsimprimés C.I.

Amphenol Air LB can supply a complete range of electro-mechanical RELAY SOCKETS to meet the harshest conditions inprofessional electronic, telecommunication, armament, railway andAérospatiale applications.

Wire connections on Amphenol Air LB SOCKETS can either beby FAST TERMINATIONS, SOLDERING or with FASTONTABS.

- FAST TERMINATIONS :Sockets for removable crip type FEMALE CONTACTS .

- SOLDER :The joining face either has solder cups to solder wires orpins to solder on PCB.

- Par LANGUETTES CLIPS :Les socles sont constitués, sur la face avant deCONTACTS DOUILLES très PERFORMANTS insérésdans le boîtier isolant, sur la face arrière ils reçoivent, pardes LANGUETTES CLIPS de 5 x 0,8 mm, desconducteurs équipés de clips Faston sertis.

Les contats femelles amovibles sont à insertion/extraction à l'aided'outils normalisés.

Quatres versions de contacts sont proposées :

- Contacts conformes à la norme UTE NF C 93-422modèle HE 310 A

- Contacts conformes à la norme MIL-C-39029/92 poursocles MIL-S-12883/40 et 41.

- Contacts conformes à la norme ASN-AEROSPATIALE /AIRBUS-ATR

- Languettes clips conformes à la norme NF F 00 363.

Les socles Amphenol Air LB reçoivent les relais de 5 - 10 - 15 et25 Ampères en 2 - 3 - 4 et 6 (RT) monostables, bistables, et, outemporisés.

Plusieurs dispositifs de fixation des socles sont possibles : fixationdémontable pour montage sous et sur platine, démontable imperda-ble, démontable orientable, intégrée au socle.

Selon la polarisation des relais, les socles possèdent un dispositif dedétrompage correspondant, interdisant tout accouplement incorrect.

- FASTON TABS :On the front side, relays consist of high performingFEMALE CONTACTS inserted in the insulating shell.On the back side, conductors with crip Faston clips areretained by 5 x 0,8 mm FASTON TABS.

Removable female contacts are inserted or extracted withstandard tools.

Four contact types are available :

- Contacts which conform to UTE NF C 93-422model HE 310 A

- Contacts which conform to MIL-C-39029/92 for socketsMIL-S-12883/40 and 41.

- Contacts which conform to ASN-AÉROSPATIALE /AIRBUS-ATR standard.

- Faston clips conform to NF F 00 363 standard.

Amphenol Air LB sockets are suitable for 5-10-15 and 25 Arelays in RT 2-3-4 and 6 monostable, bistable and/or time delay.

Several socket mountings are possible : on or under plateremovable mounting, removable captive, removable multi-directional, built into the socket.

Accroding to the relay polarization, sockets have a correspondingpolarization device which prevents any incorrect mating.

Premiers socles pour relais - contacts à languettes -clips de 5 x 0,8 mm

En partenariat avec les services techniques de la , de la et des constructeurs de matériel roulant ferroviaire,

Amphenol Air LB a conçu et développé une nouvelle gamme desocles pour relais hermétiques de faible encombrement.

Les socles Amphenol Air LB font l'objet de la normeNF F 62-002-2 F.P. n° 8 et 10. Ils répondent aux conditionssévères des normes NF F 63 307 et 16 102 exigence 3.

Chaque bloc isolant comporte des organes de connexion : sur la face avant, il reçoit les broches du relais

connectées avec les contacts douilles du socle. sur la face arrière, il reçoit, par des languettes de 5 x 0,8 mm, des

conducteurs équipés de clips Faston sertis.Clips conformes à la norme NF F 00 363 pour des sections de0,6 à 1,34 mm² .

Les socles Amphenol Air LB possèdent un dispositif à clefsde détrompage orientable pour le montage des relais cotéavant, qui permettent : 6 positions de détrompage par clefs

Possibilité de fixation des socles sur la structure par vissimple avec : un porte-étiquette de repérage. un bloc ecreteur. un adaptateur.

First relay sockets - tab contactswith 5 x 0,8 mm clips

In partnership with the Technical Department of the FrenchRailways and Paris Transportation Authority ,together with the manufacturers of rolling stock, Amphenol Air LBhas designed and developed a new range of sockets for smallsealed relays.

Amphenol Air LB sockets comply with NF F 62-002-2 F.P. n° 8and 10 standard and the strick conditions of NF F 63 307 and 16102 requirement 3 standards.

Each insulating block includes connection components : on front side, relay pins connected to socket female contacts. on rear side, connection of 5 x 0,8 mm tabs, conductors with

PRINCIPE DES COLONNETTES ORIENTABLES

DIRECTIONAL POLARIZING POSTS PRINCIPLE

COLONNETTE ORIENTABLE

Ce type de colonnette de fixation du relais est imperdable. Il est munidun dispositif de détrompage à 6 positions par clef.

Le détrompage se fait à laide des colonnettes A qui sont muniesen partie supérieure, dun détrompeur a et en partie inférieure,dun système hexagonal b de réglage qui seffectue à laided'une languette coulissante B

Cette languette B à deux positions :

Position reculée 1 : Possible uniquement sans la vis de fixationdu socle, la colonnette peut être réindexer en pressant légerementdessus et en la faisant tourner sur elle même afin d'obtenir lapolarisation désirée. La colonnette revient automatiquement dansson logement en relachant la pression.

Position avancée 2 : La fixation du socle, en place, empêche toutmouvement de la languette coulissante et du même fait de lacolonnette, aucune nouvelle polarisation n'est possible sansdémontage du socle.

POSITION 1

POLARIZING POST

This is a captive type of mounting post, equipped with a polarizationdevice with 6 positions per key.

Polarizing is provided by posts A with a polarizer in the upperpart a and an hexagonal setting system in the lower part bwhich is done with a sliding tab B .

This tab B has two position :

Backward position 1 : Only possible without socket mountingscrew. The post can be reindexed by pressing lightly and twisting itin order to get the right polarization. The post comes backautomatically to its initial position by releasing the pressure.

Forward position 2 : The socket mounting prevents anymovement of the sliding tab and the post. Polarization cannot bechanged unless the socket is removed.

2 - The crimping of contacts on the cable is done with a crimping toolcomplete with a locator adjusted to the contact size. The tool mustcomply with MIL C 22520 standard, and we suggest DANIELS orBUCHANAN crimping tools.

3 - Place the contact in the jaws of the tool with the solder cup toward theoperator.

4 - Insert the stripped cable in the contact cup and crimp it. The tool will notrelease the contact until the crimping is fully completed

a - The cable must be visible through the peep hole thus ensuring thatit is correctly crimped.

Wiring tools are most important. It is imperative that they be in good condi-tion. A chipped or badly adjusted tool will affect the quality as well as thecharacteristics of Amphenol Air LB products. Insertion and extraction ofcontacts are done with plastic or metallic tools. Cable sections allowed percontact (size) are determined by insertion and extraction tool colours.

CRIMPING

1 - The cables must be stripped with a suitable tool to avoid damaging thecore and the insulating sheath.Strip the cable over a length corresponding to the drilling dimension ofthe cup.

2 - Le sertissage des contacts sur le câble seffectue avec un outilde sertissage complété dun positionneur réglé pour la taille ducontact. Loutil doit être conforme à la norme MIL C 22520, nouspréconisons les pinces DANIELS ou BUCHANAN.

3 - Mettre un contact dans les mors de loutil, le fût étant placé verslopérateur.

4 - Insérer le câble dénudé dans le fût du contact et effectuer lesertissage. La pince ne libérera le contact que lorsque le cyclede sertissage complet aura été effectué.

a - Le câble doit apparaître dans le trou de regard du contact,il indique que le câble est correctement serti.

INSERTION CONTACT

L'insertion des contacts s'effectue avec l'outil côté COULEUR qui correspondà la taille des contacts.

1 - Tenir loutil et insérer le câble dans la gorge longitudinale de l'outil.

2 - Tirer le fil vers larrière à travers loutil jusquà ce que lextrémitéde loutil repose sur lépaulement de la collerette du contact.

Les outils de mise en oeuvre ont un rôle prépondérant dans la phase de câblage.Il est impératif quils soient en excellent état. Un outil ébréché, mal réglé, nuiraà la qualité ainsi quaux caractéristiques des produits Amphenol Air LB.L'insertion et l'extraction des contacts s'effectuent avec des outils plastiques oumétalliques. Les sections admissibles des câbles par contact (taille) sontdéterminées par la couleur des outils d'insertion et d'extraction.

SERTISSAGE

1 - Les câbles doivent être dénudés au moyen dun outil appropriépour éviter de blesser lâme et la gaine isolante.Dénuder le câble sur une longueur correspondant à la côte de perçagedu fût de contact.

CONTACT INSERTION

The contact insertion is made with the tool COLOUR side according to thecontact sizes.

1 - Hold the tool and insert the cable into the longitudinal groove.

2 - Pull the cable to the rear of the tool until the end of the tool is restingon the contact shoulder.

3 - Place the contact to be connected in the chosen cupping.

4 - With the tool, slowly push the contact in the cupping. You will feel a firmstop once the contact is in position in the cupping.

5 - Release the cable and pull out the tool. Exert a gentle pull on the cableto make sure that the contact is properly locked in.

3 - Présenter le contact dans la cavité choisie pour le raccordement.

4 - Pousser lentement le contact dans la cavité du produit à laide deloutil.Une butée franche sera rencontrée lorsque le contact aura prissa place dans la cavité.

5 - Relâcher le câble et retirer loutil. Effectuer une légère traction surle câble pour être sûr que le contact est correctement verrouillé.

EXTRACTION DU CONTACT

L'extraction des contacts s'effectue avec l'outil côté BLANC quicorrespond à la taille des contacts

1 - Placer le câble du contact à démonter dans la gorge longitudinalede loutil.

2 - Glisser lentement loutil le long du câble dans la cavité jusquàce quil rencontre une butée mécanique. A cet instant, les clipsde rétention du contact se trouvent déverrouillés.

CONTACT EXTRACTION

The contact extraction is made with the tool WHITE side according tothe contacts size

1 - Put the contact cable to be extracted in the longetitudinal tool groove.

2 - Slowly slide the tool down along the cable in the cupping until amechanical stop is reached. At this point, the contact retention clips areunlocked.

3 - Press the contact cable to be extracted against the grooves of the tooland pull the cable and tool simultaneously outside of the connecting cupping.
